Right? Every time I set out to do this, I vow not to do the same layout. Never fails, once we get it cut in it always turns out to be the EXACT same layout! WTF?

Print off a screenshot from google maps or something & grab a pen!

Maybe overlay a map of some cool GP track or somethin. Mugello would be cool in small scale.

Those look like what I'm running on the Raptor. Holiday Kanadians or some shit. Much taller head than Kold Kutters and the like with a nice cutting edge on 'em. The threads are a lot 'thicker' than the others too, more like a drywall screw-type thread. Before these I only had a few of the Kold Kutters pop out, but since switching to these NONE have pulled out...

Our ice is still pretty much poop. This is wunna the years they lowered the lake, which always fucks us up. Me & the boy went out this weekend & drilled some holes in our cove. While it was 4 or 5" thick, on the second hole we drilled about 10 huge cracks radiated out from under us making those outrageous whale-type noises. I've never seen a 7-year old run so fast before! Which is good for him I guess, as at least he recognizes the dangers...

That's not what kept me off, but I'm glad I didn't put any effort into it yet. These last few days would've just made any attempt on my part useless with the 2 or 3 inches of mush we got on top of the warm temps. Shit, we haven't hardly seen but a small handful of sledders out there which is a tell-tale sign that our lake sucks so far this year. We'll see how things go these next few days with the low temps and this storm they're keeping their eyes on...

I'm still gonna get my ice tires on & stud up the wife's & kids' machines, and I've got a coupla others 'on standby' for helping with plowing duties. Good thing about living on a small, private lake is that I don't really need a track to head out on the ice and have fun. Bad part is plowing my back hill to get on & off the ice, which I've failed at pretty much so far...

I'd ride around a bit on 4-5" of ice, but I certainly wouldn't set up a track on it yet, it's to thin. Remember a couple years ago we wore away 6-8" of ice in some of the corners.

Funny, just 2.5 hours south, and most lakes and large ponds here are still open water

Seeing signs of a bomber type snow storm end of this week, should be interesting

Im read to go. Ice tires are on and ready. Elephant ears installed to keep my fingers warm and some c12 that is going stale but I have nothing else to use it in.

Double check me but I am pretty sure in NH you can ride a registered ATV on any open / snow covered snowmobile trail.

To be clear: ATV's are no longer considered '...snow-going vehicles...' in the state of NH. They revised the provision to further define 'snow-going vehicles' as TRACKED vehicles. Yes, people are getting around it by buying track kits for ATV's. But that's the only way around that now. This is the main reason about 90% of the abandoned rail beds in NH are no longer accessible by wheeled vehicles...

Privately owned trails are up to the discretion of property owners, but most have been envirowashed into believing ATV's & dirtbikes encompass all that is evil...
