Don't know if you're going west into VT, but rt. 100 is epic, for many, many miles.

If you have a GPS you can bring, just start hitting up the rural highways and when you're ready to call it quits, set the GPS for home.

Re: needs ideas for a ride

I have been riding around lake winnapasauki for a few years down rt 11 to Lakeport then up I think it is 28 to Wolfboro and east on 25 through Meriden then south to the Wiers and you are in Laconia near rt 93. Takes about three to five hours with a stop at Castle in the Clouds. Went through Squam lake to check out where they filmed On Golden Pond. I start out near Gunstock makes for an easy day ride with lots of views over the lake.

Keep in mind all the leaf peepers will be out and about up north.. they like to randomly stop in the middle of roads and cross double yellow

    Jacki...

I have a bunch of routes but they're all in Garmin .gbd format. Google maps is a good way to create routes.

Here's one I did in a few minutes...

When are you planning this ride?

Add Mini Cooper to the mix.
Fun cars and great gas mileage on hiway.

A nice ride I do is 2a to Moto Market. http://www.motomkt.com/ Nice place to stop, grab a cup of coffee...and then from there, continue on 119 to 111 to 122 up into NH. Nice ride, places to stop, and when you get to 101a, TONS of places to eat, visit. Then reverse it.

    Have fun!

Re: needs ideas for a ride

Don't need to go to NH. From Moto Market you can head West on 2, take 140 or 68 South to 62 East, and then either continue on Rt 62 East, or bail at Route 190 back to Route 2.

Another very nice ride is to take 128 to the North Shore, then 62 East to Route 127. Route 127 and 127A go all the way around Cape Ann. Lots of places to stop, eat, sightsee, explore, etc. I'm about to put the Advrider tag in Rockport.

I rode out to Mt. Washington MA yesterday, took Route 57 but that's much farther away.

The Central MA Tag-O-Rama tag is in Shrewsbury.

How do you convert maps into .gbd format? And how do we put it into my Garmin?

5 hours to and from Billerica, I'd head over thru Groton to Townsend (rt 119?) then cross over to NH and pickup Rt 123 all the way to Bellows Falls, Vt, have lunch at the dinner then back on the same route
