I'm unloading my bikes from the trailer when

The whole left side frame breaks. I was on the trailer, just unhooked the SV650 pushed it back so the rear tire is on the ramp and the Fucking thing collapses. I jumped to the ground and caught my bike lying flat. Now I'm standing there holding the bike and I'm all alone. I lifted it up and all I hear is plywood cracking and screws popping.

I can't push it on or take it off. The ramps are on the sagging part of the metal. The rear tire is half way on the plywood. I stood there like an idiot for about 5 or 10 minutes trying to figure what to do. Finally a neighbor comes home so I call her over to help me. she held the front so I could lift the rear and get a ramp under it. Finally she helps me back it off.

Thank god it didnt fall. I don't know how I caught it or picked it back upright.

After that I put a propane tank under it so I could get my other bike off. That one was uneventful.

Maybe I should shoot the tank.

I had a similar problem.
Quite a few years ago I had picked my bike up from getting it serviced, got it home in the back of the truck, at the time I had no ramps, I was using an old solid wood door(which up until this day worked fine) Well I got the bike 1/2 way down when the wood snapped in 1/2 leaving the rear tire on the ground and the front tire up on the tail gate with me trying to balance it from the ground and not let it drop. If I had let it just roll off the tail gate the front fender would have ripped off. No one else was around. Somehow I managed to balance the bike and get one foot under a piece of the wood just enough to get it to the lip of the tailgate and under the front wheel. After wrestling with the mess for roughly 20 mins, I finally get it in the garage, and no sooner do I get the kick stand down, into the driveway walks 2 jehova (sp?) witness guys in suites. I ask where the hell were you guys 10 mins. ago, and storm into the house to avoid there little speech.

there is something to be said for a cargo trailer with a ramp gate.

Unfortunately I have a few relatives involved in this religion and used to have it thrown in my face ever time I saw them. They finally got the point and don't bother asking me any longer.

I seriously think there is mild brain washing involved, or the fact they promise of a new world that only the true Witnesses will live in freedom and peace. If my uncle will return to this world, they are fucked. He has to be the worst most irrisponable hipacritacle, freeloading, self presserving, child beating, foul mouthed piece of shit I know. How in the world is he excepted into their beliefs is beyond me??

I did not play that game ... I am the son of a man just like every other man I ever met. That makes me no better nor worse than anyone else. It is not for me to start comparing and show how much better I am to everyone else.

Whenever I encounter any belief whose purpose is to destroy rather than build family unity and also practice shunning in order to keep their members in line ... that is a CULT.

I love to see the expressions on their faces when I tell them that my first wife was one of them and I see that nothing has changed!

Another related story.

When we moved out here to our current location in the country, they must look at the new home sale listings or something. We moved in on a friday and were unpacking and what not on saturday, well a car pulls in the driveway and at first I though it was some sort of welcoming comitee until they whip out the "tower" magazines. and a bible. Well Leah met them in the driveway they spoke with her for a minute, she yells to me do we need a bible and some religous literature. "I yell back yeh take it from them we need something to get the fire place lit with tonight"

Very unhappy they got back in their car and left.

I thought I was lucky to get home too. I never was on the highway. I just picked the bikes up from Peter Kates.
As for the welder, I have one and now I have a project too
