Same here. I only had them for 1.5 years before folding the bike into the same policy as our cars. But it was in that timeframe.

IIRC - You will only see a refund if you carried comprehensive and/or collision coverage on your bike (I don't). It had something to do with the insurance company's over-valueing your bike in case of theft or damage. They did not lower the values as the bikes aged, and folks were billed as if their bikes never depreciated in value. The more expensive your bike was, when new, the bigger the refund.
