Aprilia makes an electric bicycle too.
Most of them are stupid though. The Aprilia one is based off a full-suspension mountain-bike/sportbike style frame with wide tires. It's slow, and the wide tires + suspension kill it's speed and range. (I.e. it's still slower than most competent cyclists on quality bike)
They need to make one that looks like a road racing bicycle, perhaps with a more upright posture, and keep it real light.
I don't see how anyone is going to get past the fact that on a rainy day no one is going to want muddy segways and bicycles in the office. No one gives me a hard time when I ride my bicycle to work, but I work at a small company that's pretty cool about that sort of thing, and I've never walked in with the thing all muddy.
