I think this is going nowhere?
Typical automaton response. The cause-and-effect relationship you suggest is much more complicated than that.
So just don't ride with anyone that just purchased a liter bike as their first bike. That should take care of that. The chances of you running into one of these riders on the road and them injuring you are negligible.
And stay out of my medicine cabinet!
Yup that was me, and there were some good points brought up there.
Like for 1 i will NEVER need all the power that the R1 has.
Also I will NEVER need all the power that the R1 has.
Thirdly I will Never need all the power that the R1 has.
I mean i even read something about loud pipes which changed my mind on getting the aftermarket exhaust. I think it was on Ride2die. It doesnt matter about your pipes because noone is going to hear them in front of you anyway.
Here's to hping everyone (even the idiots) stay on 2 wheels.:beerbang:
yea what he said. Except the literbike might do a little more than just lift the front...in first gear on my bike doing the above scenario, you'd be sitting on your ass in the road watching the bike do inverted cartwheels.
I don't think inexperienced riders have any business on liter bikes. or some of the 600's nowadays..
unfortunately you can't reason with them, they'll do what they want because it looks cool, their friend has one, cycle world said it was the best...etc.
dealerships should refuse a sale, but most won't.
The below pics are the result of an idiot who obviously had no idea what he was doing on a bike. This dumbass had NO business at all walking into a dealership and buying a K7 gixxer 1000. He left the shop, rode the bike 50 feet into a brick wall.
For those that say it doesn't affect you let me ask you a question, when someone goes down on a bike whether they're on a 1000, have no helmet, maybe were properly geared and on a small bike even and they're crippled for life. Who do you think pays for that? They sure as shit aren't.
So because you know a few goons that have no common sense or that have no business on any bike for that matter, we all have to suffer.
Buddy they weren't all goons. You're afraid to admit that many of them were probably just like you. Damn there's a shocker.
you know what now that i have had the bike for some time, I do agree that maybe there should be a training that the dealership provides when purchasing a bike, but not just a 1, it should be for all bikes. whether it be a 1,6,or hell even a 50.
Stupid is as stupid does!
I agree, maybe they were like me. Still aint gonna prevent me from getting on my bike and riding it.
Safely!
http://smilies.vidahost.com/contrib/ruinkai/sh1a.gif Now you're really stretching to feel the effects of these big bad meanies on liters. You even grasped at the "gear card". :spit: I don't think these people are the real problem with public assistance, but if it helps you justify your totalitaristic views, then by all means, proceed.
Whatever you gotta tell yourself to get on that bike everyday.
So what about the guy that dives into a pool and is now paralyzed for life?:topic:
i dont have to tell myself anything.
Vespa's anyone?!?!?!?!?!?
OK,
who here has ever gotten a DUI or drives drunk, because they only had a few or they are fine to drive.
If you have or do and you have called me an ass for riding a 1 or anyone else for riding a 1 as a first bike
SHUTUP!
You wanted to go there!
probably not, but you know you have done it!
i know i have, along with everyone else i know,
just so happens my fathers step brother dove into a poll 3 years ago, now he is paralyzed from the waist down.
since we are on the subject of danger to themselves and others why hasn't anyone had anything to say about the drunk driving comment,
oh yeah thats because that is acceptable in todays society, everyone does it!
