Very sad day...rider down

I just got some horrible news that a fellow rider, a year younger than me that I went to high school with, was hit on his motorcycle today in my hometown down the street from my house.

I don't know many of the details yet except that he broke his neck and unfortunately didn't make it.

I've never had something like this hit so close to home before...his name is Mike Leccese and he was only 21 years old. This is definitely a great loss to the community and a great loss to the town of stoneham.

yellow bike? and was the bike taken to the funeral cuz thats what happend with the one i mentioned

I hate these threads. I send my condolences to his family but am reminded that we all need to remember the danger of the hobby/sport that we all love so much. Be careful guys, wear your gear, keep your eyes open and use your head out there.

there was another kid from waltham, 21 years old named mike who died in an accident on saturday

Jesus I saw the road blocked off yesterday....and then my friend texted me when I was out asking if I was ok? I never put two and two together...

I played football with this kid in Highschool, him and his older brother paul.
I loved him, he was such a good kid. I remember when he first got his motorcycle he was so pumped. Never ended up riding with him, but this is a tragic loss to Stoneham. I'll ask my buddy whos a cop more about what exactly happend.
