I know. They have been only one of 3 dealerships actually contacting me about my inquiries and they were doing it from home too. No more corsa's in stock though so it would be a plain jane one unless they can locate one.
Im heading out now to make the rounds before the snow starts flying. Im gonna head over to a ktm dealer and see what they can do for an rc8 but thats a long shot at the very best.

duc 848 is out for me. im looking at 2 in the showroom and they both have peeling stickers and what looks like damage to the triple clamps. everything else in the showroom is perfect so it looks like the 848 is to blame. the penagale (sp) looks perfect but too much for me. i cant risk having duc issues down the road so im going to skip them.

Well, I just put a deposit down on a brand spanking new 2010 r1 fiat edition. Pics to follow tomorrow. Poor little guy was sitting in a warehouse down the street from the dealership. It was a little dirty but im sure itll clean up nice. I was a little worried about it having sat unused for so long but i think its ok.

If you can I would drain and replace the gas with fresh and Seafoam
My Vee was 2 1/2 years old and after about 30 seconds of happiness she died and I had to rinse the tank and change the plugs and ether to get her to fire.

Minimally then fresh gas and some kind of cleaner maybe Seafoam etc.

Oil is probably OK but I am a believer in Motoman break in and would be changing in 50 miles with the filter anyway

its never been gased up. never even had a battery in it. tires were aired up once and still hold air but are a little low. that was my biggest concern about buying an old left over, if the tires were still goid.

Hopefully. Im gonna do a few simple mods to it and see how it goes. It felt good pushing it around the lot and sitting on it. Im probably gonna drop a tooth up front, race baffles for the exhaust, maybe a catless y pipe, smog delete, bmc and ecu unleashed. I dont think ill go crazy with it.

Thanks. I could have gotten the skull one thats newer for less money than the fiat but who wants skulls? I can see why those dont sell. Sadly if it didnt have the skulls thats the one i would have gotten.
I gotta say the fiat scheme is pretty sharp in person. Even when we pulled it out of the warehouse and it was covered in dust it really sticks out. They put rossi's signiture on the tank right were your nad's are which is a shame because its gonna get either ruined or covered by a pad. Ill get pictures tomorrow.

Cant wait to actually put some miles on it. Im already trolling the r1 forums figuring out what to do. Ill probably keep it simple for the first season and see how it goes. I really just want to let that exhaust sing so thatll be my first thing after break-in. Catless y pipe with possibly a race baffle stock muffler. The toce exhaust is crazy sick sounding but i think it maybe to loud like alot of them it seems. Im hoping to hear a few in person once the weather gets good again so i can make up my mind but i think the race baffles will tide me over till i do.
