I didn't get a ticket for speeding. There is no way to tell speed from the opposite side of an interstate with both vehicles in heavy traffic. The sargeant admitted this.

By the way, 55MPH on I95? You must be the person holding everybody up. The limit varies, but it was 65 where we were pulled over.

Seriously this sucks for you guys but after the non-stop shitstorm you guys gave Kham over the last year this thread is hilarious. I guess what goes around comes around!
    1. Where the fuck does 70MPH become 20MPH over the limit. Ben, are you another idiot who rides at 50 on I95? Buy a Harley.

    2. If the cop had given me a speeding ticket he knows he had no evidence and it would be thrown out in court, Instead he gave me an improper lane change. More chance I won't turn up and burn his sorry ass in front of the judge.

    3. I never gave anyone a non-stop shitstorm over tickets and if you think this thread is hilarious, then good luck to you.

    4. What goes around comes around? Nice Ben, nice.

    5. I take my licks. If a cop radars me speeding or tails me tracking speed, or sees me doing something wrong, I'll go to the magistrate to try to get it reduced but won't take it to court. I haven't had a ticket in 6 years because I don't do stupid things on the highway. I ride defensively. On saturday I got a ticket from an egomaniac just because I was on a sprtbike. THAT should worry you as well as everyone else here.

Land of the free my fucking ass.

Nah I'd be riding down 95/93 at 75mph just like you guys.

But if a cop pulled me over for 75mph would I bitch or hope to evade the ticket just cause everyone else was doing 75mph? Probably not, the speed limit IS 55mph. The cops could probably get away with putting up a radar/camera and literally pulling thousands of cars over, that would be the only way to truly straighten up the behavior on those roads.

Boston traffic & enforcement is totally fucked up but speeding is still speeding. You guys were just the "alpha male" guys out there on the shiny bikes so the cops saw you and got wood.

The only reason I said ANYTHING was just the incredible level of shit people have been given on this site for ever talking about a ticket. You guys set the bar SO high, to the point where you'd think from reading NESR that we are all evil bastards terrorizing children every time we get on our bikes.

It's really bizarre, on a sportbike I got stopped many times when I first started riding, no plate light on a few of my bikes (just happen to be the way I bought them), going fast other times, couple bad choices here and there...anyhow got the Warrior, it's loud as $)I&$)%&)@%@, can hear it a mile away, ride spirited but not nuts and I never get stopped...cops see the sportbike and you're part of "the crowd."

yup. because if they pulled over all the cruisers and harleys, it would probably be their fellow LEOs riding. I wonder how many LEOs ride sport bikes or anything *other* than Harleys.

Most of 93 and about 50-60% of 95 is 65mph, You could set up a Radar all day long and it would be a waste of time the problem with drivers today is they Drive aggressively and well beyond there capability.. I'm in a good position to make that assesment.. And for those of you Bashing MASS Drivers, I see the same thing from the NH drivers and even some VT ones, No one in this region is any better then the other..

    RE

At least you actually got pulled over and didn't just receive a ticket in the mail for infractions "observed" by an off-duty cop...like me!

For what it's worth I went to court and got my $325 ticket ($100 - illegal lane change, $100 - failure to stay in lane, $100 - estimated speeding and $25 - no blinker) reduced to only $25 for no blinker. I told the magistrate that I couldn't imagine what the officer thought he saw, but he must have been at a poor vantage point which didn't afford him the view of the motorists' taillights "suddenly" illuminating in front of me thereby precipitating the entire "incident."

$25 is much better than $325. (However, I'm pretty freaked out now going down the road knowing anyone can be an off-duty cop with the authority and jurisdiction to send me another ticket via the USPS.)

    Good luck with your fight!!

I've never had more than a verbal warning on my harley. And, sometime I go fast. I know it is because I'm on an 883. The few times I have actually been pulled over, the guy told me that it was dangerous to go fast on a sportster (probably true) and let me go. I actually go slower on highways/in town with the speed triple because I know I'll get my balls busted on a British ricerocket.

I would fight the shit out of this ticket if it was me.

Anyway, if I get full race leathers I'll ride the harley and let you know what changes (referring to the other thread).

Oh yeah, btw, the pipes on my harley are loud as shit, and no problem.

i'm with you guys which now i can justify also being alone on the road is not speeding either because you can't get run over by anyone.

anywya, it was by exit 41 right? i never new that section is 65 limit. i travel that section all the time on bike but im always alone... never run into any of them and i don't switch lane.

I know this topic is about cops screwing members over but thislast page contains alot of stupid generalizations about cops. I know plenty of cops who own sportbikes, and plenty of non officers that ride cruisers. If you dont like being stereotyped then dont do it back

for one thing i can bet big boobs can make difference when you run in to them. you may know a lot of them but i don't so the generalization is to help me not deal with them because i don't want to find out the hard way again as in the past. i don't know whos' who. as i said we are on the short end of the stick at least i am.

The problem with your statement is the cops that ride sportbikes are typically not the ones being douchebags to the motorcyclists they pull over. I have never received a ticket from an officer that volunteers his passion for motorcycles to me while I'm pulled over.

On the other hand, I have seen plenty of asshole cops that are hell bent on ruining your day because you are on a motorcycle.

yea so he's still not on your side. he's no good for you. as Vince said they'll get blame for doing or not doing their job and pretty soon they'll stop feeling sorry and start writting more tickets. no matter how you look at it, you're on sportbike so you're on the evil side.
