I'm looking for a first race bike, i want something CHEAP just to learn on i really don't care what it looks like i just want to race. EX500, GS500, RZ350 (sportsman class) i would love to run an SV650 but i can't afford one (I'd have to sell the wife, and then work boat loads of overtime...lol J/K) i was told that the sportsman class was a great class to learn on...i have all the gear i'm just lacking the ride...what to do????

THey are both 99 CBR 600 f4's fully race preped and ready to go... Just put gas in them (enough gas is good for finishing races)
Dereks has some cool motor bits and both have Ohlins rear and reworked forks
As far as cost I am not sure what are you looking to spend

those are sweet bikes i love F4's but I'm sure there more than i can spend. It's not been easy talking the wife into what i've already spent in gear. i'm trying to keep the peace here if you know what sayin... is the 600 class a good starting platform i heard you would learn as much jumping into something that big?

I think that the 600 class is good because there are a lot of bikes in the races. You will always end up behind someone faster than you are...if they are passing or lapping you, you still will see their lines and learn from it. This is my experience and holds no water in other peoples minds. Other people say start small and learn corner speed,,,, Who knows what is actually correct. I am having a blast in my first season. Good luck on your quest for a bike

IMO they are excellent bikes if you bring some skills to the table. The Hondas a very easy to learn going fast on.
I'd say $4,500-$5,500 for a race bike of that sort. It is relatively new ('99), a good size for Louden, and comes race prepped.
The real selling point for the NESR bikes should be the entire package: pit crew including a friendly, level-headed wrench, support from a whole crowd of spectators (both days), etc., etc.
Keep us posted bro.
