If I was stopped in front of any vehicle and I saw people start damaging it, you bet your ass I'd be moving really quick like, not spectating.

They were trying to get the SUV to slow down huh? The family also missed the fact that it was at the front of the group? Why on earth would you ride faster, get in front of and attempt to slow down a vehicle in front of your group that was traveling faster? These degenerates and their families have bogus excuses. They can't bear the fact that their relatives made big, stupid mistakes.
Moms have a way of always believing only the best about their sons. To a fault. You can't blame them for that. Look at Casey Anthony's parents.
What? Casey anthonys parents testified against her in court. Lol.

Yeah, as a matter of fact I have been in situations that could have easily taken my life by the hand of others, none of which I care to talk about on some forum. I am very lucky to be alive.
The difference between us and the driver of the Range Rover is that you and I made concious decisions to be put in our situations so when you post up that the driver had plenty of time to collect his thoughts, perhaps not as evidenced by the video. You then somehow relate your time in Iraq to how you felt this driver had "plenty of time" to make sense of his situation. Again, I'm guessing not, as evidenced by this video.

As far as your demand for respect, I respect the Service people that have performed their duty and respect those who don't attempt to associate their combat experiences with completely unrelated topics and then go on to assume others should have or would have reacted the same as they would...which, by the way, is exactly what a post of yours smacks of.
    Dis mo' fucka for prez.

I've been following this story daily since it happened. There are no winners here and I can understand both sides. My concerns include how the general motoring public will interpret things. Will we become speedbumps for those who feel intimidated by " bikers" and feel they can get away with driving over us ? Monkey see monkey do!

On NASIOC they're calling the guy "Meezee Calimari."

Apparently he may not be paralyzed, but he sure as hell ain't improved.

Bet a whole lot of people are wishing this never happened.

I already ran over 2 motorcyclists on my way to work this morning. I tried for a 3rd, but his Harley wouldn't fit under my Jeep.

Video from "Jay Meezee" on Youtube.
    http://youtu.be/UDjV08KZpNA

    The comments are pretty raw.

"Maybe this punk bitch can be a stunt wheel chair rider now."

    - Lock the friggin' doors.
    - Determine your location, call 911.
    - Stay on the highway.
    - " I would have continued [on the highway] at a very slow speed, even if I’m surrounded,” he said. “A Range Rover versus motorcycles, he’s going to win that battle.”

Slyder called it. How ironic would it be if charges were pressed against the guy who was ran-over? Seems to me he should be charged if he put the life of others and/or his own in jeopardy.

Re: Range Rover runs over biker(s)

Some of the comments are pretty brutal. One said "pull the plug already"

Another said he's now known as Wheezy Meezy

He's a musician and an artist family members claim. And almost every one of that artists videos show the illegal shit he and the crew do when they get on their bikes.

About the young man who was run over.

Though Mieses is a Massachusetts resident, he has never had a valid Massachusetts driver’s license for a passenger vehicle and has never applied for a motorcycle license, the Registry of Motor Vehicles said.

Registry records show that Mieses applied for a learner’s permit in 1999 and 2000, but that he never obtained a full license because he failed to pay fines imposed after he was ticketed for speeding in Lawrence in 1999. His last contact with the Registry was in 2001, when he obtained an identification card, registry records show.

Since 1999, he has been ticketed by police 16 times, in Lawrence, Methuen, Roxbury, Andover, and New Hampshire, according to registry records.

In June, the Registry notified the National Driver Register that Mieses was a habitual traffic offender whose right to drive in Massachusetts was revoked until 2017, records show.

Re: Range Rover runs over biker(s)

Ok. In all seriousness, does anyone here NOT think the driver of the Range Rover was in fear for his life? He stopped after the asshat in front of him checked up and he hit him. The right thing to do. THEN, other asshats begin to hit his car, the TAKE OUT KNIVES, slashing his tires...

Knives=deadly weapons, and then they try to get to him. I'd call that justification for use of deadly force. And deadly force, as defined, does NOT mean just a gun or knife. I know I sure as hell would use my 3500+lb "bullet" of a truck to get my family out of that situation. If any of them were in the way, that's on them. Not me.

Nice to know my idea to run every one of them off the road you possibly can is now a viable option.

You funny man. My Outback weighs 3,560 lbs and has an aluminum hood and tailgate.A RR is more like 4,800 lbs. The big old Suburbans weighed as much as 5,400 lbs.

With perfect 20/20 hindsight, the best thing he probably good have done was to stay right there in the middle of the highway, with the doors locked. There were a group of cars not far behind and another just ahead.

I think everyone got what they deserved other then the wife & child. Those guys are animals & animals get run over all the time. The guy in the Range Rover didn't need to drive over anyone either. All could have been avoided if the animals didn't think they owned the road in the first place.
