No he's being an ass all you need is DL, Title and insurance ( you have to have atleast liab) to get it registered. 25 for the title change and if you just bought it you have to pay sales tax ( 7% and yes they do go by blue book)

No he's not being an ass. You need to bring the bike for the vin check. That was the question he was answering. Speaking of ass get your head out of it.

i got the bike vin checked today....

I went to the trouble of pulling the trailer out.. putting the bike on it in the rain, ebign late for work and filling the rear with air and now stil wondering why it wont fil past 20 psi...

I get to the vin place...... they didnt even bother to look at the bike.

go to w. greenwich if you need to launder some stolen bikes i guess?

Tomorrow the west warwick DMV... wish me luck.

I was on hold for 30 minutes today to confirm what I need tomorrow.

I brought mine to Woonsocket along with the title because I bought it with cash. The cop told me he couldn't do a vin check without a bill of sale I told him I bought it for cash at a dealer so there is no bill of sale. Only the title which is more proof than a hand written note. He told me without a bill of sale there was nothing he could do. I told him I have owned the bike for 3 years and if he would like I could write me a bill of sale right there if he would like. Finally he decided he could use my title.
