I haven't decided if we should include the kid's girlfriend in the deal but for argument's sake we'll throw her under the proverbial bus as well. The way I envision it going down is something like this: moderators can track down the kid's home address through his IP address. Then we can mail something to his house saying that he's won some sort of a sweepstakes. We may need sponsors to step up with this so that the prize seems real and enticing enough to get the kid to show up. I mean, he's not going to drag his girlfriend all the way to Lowell to claim a free ice cream from Heritage Farms. Frankly, I don't even like their ice cream that much. He probably wouldn't be that motivated by a free track day either so that's out. Maybe Noel or Sheppo can put up a brandy new helmet as the "prize" (with the full understanding that there really is no prize so you could get the booty back when the intervention is completed.) We can work out the prize specifics later I guess, but anyhow - we get the kid to come pick up his "prize" in some central New England location with a lot of bushes (Burlington, MA sounds about right to me.) Except - when he gets to the predetermined location, we wait until he gets off his bike and then we all jump out from behind the bushes dressed as police officers and start beating him with tube socks filled with damp flour. As for the girl, since she seems to like to live dangerously, I propose that we tie her to a lamppost and take turns putting out cigarette butts on her arms and legs until she screams UNCLE. At that point, we simply write them both a ticket for "Tough Love" and hope that's enough to knock some sense into the two youts.

    PM me for more details.
your sense of humor is just as douchey and humorless as the cop who joked my girlfriend was disposable....but nice try

That right there is the worst thing you could have done. You could have raped a nun with no gear on and it would have been better. I'd take it back.

Dood.. Chris is being kind, almost friendly-uncle-like to get you to see the larger point and the error of your ways. What's so difficult with all this? On about 5 counts, ya got caught up in a cop's ire. You WEREN'T taking care of the dolly on the back. Ya got wise with the cop. You were speeding. The inspection sticker. ALL of it together. Jeez, you DO have insurance, right? Legitimate questions all.

But Chris' even more important point that he, the Doc, Deggs, hell lots of peeps have been pounding on all Spring and Summer, and now into Autumn (I hate to say Fall) is this: It's been a bad year up there. Lots of peeps have gotten killed up there in some spectacular ways, most of them covered pretty deeply by all the press up there (and remember, Chris writes for one of the papers). On top of that, a great many were caused by questionable activities. On top of THAT, there are organizations springing up to limit noise. Inspection points for BIKES. Everyone knows it. It's not funny like YOU say, it IS serious, like Chris says, in that it reflects on EVERYONE else. We all get to wear it. The publicity, the scrutiny from cops, the attitude. So, go have a laugh about what *I* got to say, too, lots here have in the past, but not this time, I suspect.

Dunno if ya ever met any of these peeps, but even in flames, it's pretty thoughtful here, and ya might consider giving just a scintilla of thought to what peeps are trying to get you to consider. Before that damned Piper comes to call.

Many good attempts to get the point across here.

As someone who knows the area very well, I'll just add that Nantasket Beach is a hotbed of two-wheeled douchebaggery. The amount of nonsense the cops have to keep under control from both squids and pirates is pretty high and the exit routes, especially toward Weymouth, Quincy, Boston are patrolled for exactly this type of behavior.

Fair or not, that's the reality.

Riding into a target rich environment, sporting the full douchebag/squid profile is going to attract LEO's attention. Add a bit of speeding and a dose of attitude and the result is inevitable.

You may have been "profiled" based on these appearance markers, and that may not be completely fair, but ferchrissakes why do you want to make yourself an OBVIOUS target in a high enforcement area?

At 19, none of us are/were very good at seeing how the world sees us. We're more "inner-directed" at that age. Life get's a lot easier when you develop this ability early and only gets harder and more expensive when you don't.

Anyways, so i was riding at what seemed like 45 mph max on this nice curvy n smooth road with no cars in front of me when a police bike coming the other way flashed his lights and then puled me over. he was "ya know, that vest thing isnt gonna do much good when ur going 51 and a car pulls out in front of me"....which makes it seem like im getting a ticket for the vest not speeding....cuz no matter if im going 20mph or 60 im gonna be fucked if that happens.
then he calls his backup buddy in a cruiser to come. he asked me why i didnt have an inspection sticker and i said because i just picked it up like 8 days ago. then the buddy cop made some more fun of my vest, and asked me why my girlfriend had nothing on, and asked if she must be "disposable" with a condescending chuckle. then i kinda flipped on him and said i cant make her wear shit if she doesnt want to, im not gonna dress her up like a doll etc etc. then he felt like an idiot so resorted to his police arrogance and yelled "lose the attidude punk, get the fuck over there next to your bike, fuking tough guy....tough guy" haha pretty funny actually. but the speeding was 51 in a 30...but he didnt check radar, clocked, estimated, posted, or anything....moron. that was 160, plus 50 for the sticker, plus 50 for the head injusry BS. needless to say i already sent it my ticket to appeal and circled in big red pen how he knows i was going 51. cop def. had some sort of vendetta against kids on sportbikes with their girlfriends
Where in this OP did you cleverly hide the clues that you knew you were in the wrong?

I'm normally pretty good at knowing the difference between an angry rant about "the man" and a tongue in cheek story of knowing misbehavior.

I call BS on this. Enjoy paying the ticket. Even though the cops probably were a bit out of line, be thankful they didn't find/create a reason to impound the bike, arrest you and leave the GF on the side of the road.

Very insensitive. Many of us are out of work. Ok, ok, not REALLY outta work (I'm a bum, myself), but we don't need all THIS to keep us going throughout the day..

Go forth. Do the right thing. Do not hurt yourself or others out there, or we'll do a memorial ride to go PISS on your grave.
