I would, Alex, it's unsafe and Jane is indisposible.
Dood.. Chris is being kind, almost friendly-uncle-like to get you to see the larger point and the error of your ways. What's so difficult with all this? On about 5 counts, ya got caught up in a cop's ire. You WEREN'T taking care of the dolly on the back. Ya got wise with the cop. You were speeding. The inspection sticker. ALL of it together. Jeez, you DO have insurance, right? Legitimate questions all.
But Chris' even more important point that he, the Doc, Deggs, hell lots of peeps have been pounding on all Spring and Summer, and now into Autumn (I hate to say Fall) is this: It's been a bad year up there. Lots of peeps have gotten killed up there in some spectacular ways, most of them covered pretty deeply by all the press up there (and remember, Chris writes for one of the papers). On top of that, a great many were caused by questionable activities. On top of THAT, there are organizations springing up to limit noise. Inspection points for BIKES. Everyone knows it. It's not funny like YOU say, it IS serious, like Chris says, in that it reflects on EVERYONE else. We all get to wear it. The publicity, the scrutiny from cops, the attitude. So, go have a laugh about what *I* got to say, too, lots here have in the past, but not this time, I suspect.
Dunno if ya ever met any of these peeps, but even in flames, it's pretty thoughtful here, and ya might consider giving just a scintilla of thought to what peeps are trying to get you to consider. Before that damned Piper comes to call.
Many good attempts to get the point across here.
As someone who knows the area very well, I'll just add that Nantasket Beach is a hotbed of two-wheeled douchebaggery. The amount of nonsense the cops have to keep under control from both squids and pirates is pretty high and the exit routes, especially toward Weymouth, Quincy, Boston are patrolled for exactly this type of behavior.
Fair or not, that's the reality.
Riding into a target rich environment, sporting the full douchebag/squid profile is going to attract LEO's attention. Add a bit of speeding and a dose of attitude and the result is inevitable.
You may have been "profiled" based on these appearance markers, and that may not be completely fair, but ferchrissakes why do you want to make yourself an OBVIOUS target in a high enforcement area?
At 19, none of us are/were very good at seeing how the world sees us. We're more "inner-directed" at that age. Life get's a lot easier when you develop this ability early and only gets harder and more expensive when you don't.

Where in this OP did you cleverly hide the clues that you knew you were in the wrong?
I'm normally pretty good at knowing the difference between an angry rant about "the man" and a tongue in cheek story of knowing misbehavior.
I call BS on this. Enjoy paying the ticket. Even though the cops probably were a bit out of line, be thankful they didn't find/create a reason to impound the bike, arrest you and leave the GF on the side of the road.
I don't hate you.
Very insensitive. Many of us are out of work. Ok, ok, not REALLY outta work (I'm a bum, myself), but we don't need all THIS to keep us going throughout the day..
Go forth. Do the right thing. Do not hurt yourself or others out there, or we'll do a memorial ride to go PISS on your grave.
We kid because we care, dood.
I'm still waiting on pics of the gf to make up for the squidness :-)
ok first i aint reading 5 pages of shit so this might have been said. wheres the pics of ya girl in these short shorts on the back of ya bike?????? cops will be dicks if you dont suck up to them but they prolly seen a sexy girl wearing next to nuttin and wanted to check her out so again i ask WHERES THE PICS OF YA GIRL?? hahaa
