    Stolen Bike Report

Hey everyone, just putting it out there in case anyone comes across it. Stolen last night from the Oak Square part of Brighton MA, Red 2007 Honda CBR1000rr, tinted double bubble wind screen, Sato exhaust, after market turn signals, Sargent seat.

Rode it last night, parked it in my driveway about midnight, was gone this morning at 8:15.

Filed the police report, and insurance report. Good thing I'm covered insurance wise. Contacted LoJack so lets see what they come up with.

If anyone comes across this, please post to the thread, or send me a PM.

    Thanks everyone.

    Dan

    Re: Stolen Bike Report

Whats going on! This is getting a bit ridiculous with the amount of bikes being stolen in and around Boston. I honestly wake up every morning now expecting my bike to be gone...

Yeah this is too much almost every two days or so we hear about yet another bike being stolen ,do we have to park our bikes next to the bed with a chain to the ankle ? .almost do not want to ride in the city just in case some one is writing down plates and following bike home .

    Re: Stolen Bike Report

Lately we've had people bolting these chain anchors to concrete pads in their driveway.
If you park outside it's cheap insurance and definitely the best deterrent.

Sorry to hear man. I guess times are tight for some and stealing is easier than earning. WTF

You've got sales in your blood Ted. I might be making this type of investment real soon, well, whenever I have either my bike back or another one.

LoJack did call and they are tracking it in Dedham I believe. Time to assemble an army of torches and pitch forks.

Mayhaps there will be a red and white R1 there as well as a graffiti CBR (I think that was the first one stolen?

Hope you get it back intact, guess if I buy a new sports bike I'll invest in lojack..

Found the bike in a garage Dorchester, wires pulled out, motor doesn't start, but they say the lights and everything else works. Getting towed now, so hopefully its in good shape. Thank you LoJack.

    Re: Stolen Bike Report

I drove by Worcester yesterday and twice I passed a 2010 Matte Graphite Triumph Street Triple R that was parked on the side street. I really felt like stopping and putting a card on the bike telling him to lock it up and why.

for LoJack, found it in approx 4 hours, got your moneys worth. Of course I always question if you want the vehicle back after some low-life has been wheeling it around

    Good luck with it.

unless you have the knowledge, time, tools, and garage to completely tear everything apart to inspect, my answer is always no.

    Re: Stolen Bike Report

I don't know if they caught anyone, but the tow company said nobody can touch the bike until the state police take prints on it. There is some left side damage they say, so it must have been down, and the ignition is toast.

That being said, I have the tools and know how to go through the bike and repair it, but my living room is the only place I have to do it. Maybe make a 1000cc track bike??

Whoever owns the garage should be prosecuted. Even if its not them they're aiding in the theft...glad your getting the bike back

Exactly! I've seen so many bikes in my neighborhood uncovered and not locked to something solid. Lock up your bike and cover it if you want to keep it!

Long ago I was approached to buy a hot bike-thought if people don't buy them then they won't steal them. Thats why I told them go to hell first. Shoot the bastards if you find em. Don't the key ignition and fork locks work anymore?

Two large guys can lift/drag a bike into a van within a few seconds. Protect your property. Chain it up, install a security camera, get an attack dog, etc. You must protect your bike!
