Finally got the new brake shoes and tube in. Had an easier time with this tube. Now she's all back together.

It's not done yet, I don't see asphalt and rubber scars all over the plastics?

Annalisa almost convinced me to get black and yellow plastics for it.

hey man, you ever get to riding this thing?

I just bought an XR100 that I want to swap the tires for as well

I have a friend with a tire changer, and there's a go kart/motorsport track about an hour from me that runs supermoto/mini motard track days for $45

I figure a $360 dirt bike, $40 in tires, and $3 oil change will be some cheap track day fun

Yep. I bring it up to the track as a pit bike and used it in the pit bike race in July. What a blast!

Re: Can you SuMo a CRF80?

It was awesome. I finally got to ride 2 full-sized motards during the last TTD. I rode Jane's DRZ400 as a warm-up and when I was reaching for another gear (that wasn't there) at 90mph on the front straight, I asked Graham if I could take his KTM out for a stroll.

That was wicked! I did my first wheelie over the hill in T5. Then I learned to sit almost on the gas tank. After that ride, I'm actually considering grabbing one.

get a street tard chuck, it will bring life back to street riding for you and the seating position is way more comfortable than a sportbike
as for your mini. id look into a 16 for the front. 14s would probably be too small for it but you race rubber choices will increase a little

so all I need to do is find some street tires that will fit the OEM rims, and I'm ready to start dragging knee?

and does it matter which type of tire? or as long as it's a street one, I'm good to go?

AFAIK, the XR80 and XR100 were in the same frame, so it'll be towards the likeness of your CRF80

kur-lawn pointed me to supermotojunkie and the wera forums...he said there'd be plenty of XR100 enthusiasts there

There is actually a class in USCRA that races XR100s, DRZ125s, and TTR125s at Loudon on the track. These things are a blast!
