So far I've been to: MotoMarket, Brockton Cycle Center, Triumph of Swansea, Great Bay Triumph, and South Shore Motorsports. At those *fine* establishments I've tried: Belstaff, IXS, FirstGear, Triumph, Fieldsheer, Yoshimura (not right for a Euro rider like myself), and Joe Rocket.
Of all of those I seem to fit into the IXS jacket best, and of course, they're at MotoMarket prices $$$. MM didn't have any IXS pants for me to try.
I'm thinking of a trip into Riverside in Somerville to try some Dianese stuff.
Does anyone know of any other good places to try?

Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
FU, Stoner!
Hey, what ever happened to the business that you were going to launch?

I haven't had time to get it off the ground. But it IS something that'll hopefully pan out in the near future. As you could probably imagine, that's an extremely tough business to make successful. My biggest hurdle is that I'm heavily involved in a very successful family business right now...
One thing that the shop will also have is no less than FIVE tire changing stations for INSTANT tire changes. I won't carry tires of course, but I'll be able to swap 'em for cheap! I'd also like to find a place with storage so I can do winter storage too. I'm not sure yet what type of permit I'll hafta pull for the tire changing, but it may allow me to perform basic mechanical duties such as light winterizing of stored bikes too...
It's still very much in the planning stages, but it's something I'd really like to get going within the next coupla years...
But MY shop would be able to accomidate you if it were up & running...

I'm starting to be afraid of just that... a custom suit, it'll be VERY expensive.
For customs I'm looking at: Vanson, Syed, Z, Bates, and Tiger Angel.
I just want to be sure I check out all of the off the rack stuff first. I want to take a closer look at the IXS stuff, too.

Vanson has GREAT deals on overrun, misprinted, returned and unclaimed stuff. They won't tell you what they have over the phone, but it may be worth a trip. There's been a few times I've been down there that I woulda bought stuff if I had a coupla extra (hundred) beans on me...

They've got shit like that too!yeah, it'd have to be a mis-cut to fit our jolly green buddy, eh Sean?![]()
It would appear that with the type of questions he's asking, he's gonna be back in the saddle again soon. Sean?shoulda seen the grin on the big lug's face when he was sitting on bikes again...even bikes he doesn't really love.![]()

Vanson just hates me. My shoulders are too wide, my chest is too small, my arms too long, my waist too narrow, my hips to wide, and my legs too long. I'd be looking at roughly $1500 there.
Tiger Angel, in Australia, has the exchange rate working on their behalf. A comparable suit would work out to roughly $1100 - $1200.
I just got off the phone with South Shore Motorsports. I want to try on a Teknic Speedstar 2-piece (black/silver/white), because I'm hearing that Teknics are longer than most other suits. We'll see. The downside is, before they order it, they want a deposit! Cheap mofos. I'll do it, as long as it's refundable.
Let's see, at Triumph of Swansea I sat on: a new Daytona, an '01 Speed Triple, a TT600, a Mille, a TLR, an SV650S, and a GSXR600.
At Great Bay Triumph: an '02 Speed Triple, a Sprint ST, a new Daytona, a '99 Daytona, and a Bonneville America.
Soon.... verrrrrrrrrrrrrry soon.![]()

Not a problem, Alan. Go get 'em!
'Course, as a reward, I'd gladly accept a discount on a full set of Vanson
leather gear!
Take care.

RJ's Motorsports in Nashua has some stuff. Not as much as Motomarket but it's definitely going to be cheaper, and there's no tax.
It's on 101A (Amherst St?) right past the Harley/Buell dealer. They're like 60% cruiser stuff but they have Joe Rocket and I think one other brand. It's exit 7W off Rt. 3 IIRC.
I got my raincoat at Motomarket though and the price seemed reasonable at the time.
