MY buddy is looking into getting a new bike he is between a cbr600rr and the f4i, he is looking toward the 600rr because of the looks but won't listen to me when I say there is a big difference between the two, I have the RR which means I am definitly going to favor that bike but just for him what are the pro's and cons between the two and compared... thanks guys

i agree w/ Tony's post in that thread... The F4i is a better street bike for the money. The RR is not as comfortable and is more expensive... if your friend is a new rider, i wouldn't suggest either as starter bikes for a number of reasons... there's better bikes to learn on that are not nearly as expensive.
If he's an experienced rider, it's up to his wallet & his preference. Sit on em & see how they feel.

I battled this one when I decided to go with the F4i. The RR is more of a track bike right out of the box while the F4i is an all around great bike. THe f4i is more comfortable to take long rides with. Granted the RR looks flippin sweet but the F4i might be better if its his first bike. I've read that its the most forgiving to ride as well. as far as power theres not much of a difference. I think its like 90-93hp verses the 100hp RR. funny enough the F4i is faster in the quarter mile because of its softer suspension However, THe RR's suspension is on the next level. Put two equally experienced riders on the track with both bikes( BONE STOCK) and the RR will probably spank the F4i because of its suspension. The dimensions of the 2 bikes are very close. the RR is a tad bit longer I think and the riding position of the RR sits more like a track bike. THe position of the clipons is different on both as well. If your friend is looking to ride girls on the back or anyone for that matter, the F4i would be a littlemore comfortable + the passenger sits a little higher above and behind you on the RR. This is a tough decision. Both bikes are awesome. The looks are what will probably seal the deal with your friend since the RR is a sweet looking bike. IF hes looking to get a bike used, He could look for the 01-03 F4i before they changed the seat to that banana one piece. THough like I said earlier, power wise there isn't a huge difference, one is more track oriented while the other is all around on the track and off. Good luck dude![]()
