So, I am finally getting round to rebuilding / resoring my YSR50. I don't have a title for the bike but it is all there and in good shape. I am planning on a full engine rebuild and a frame up restoration.
what do you guys recon, go original paint scheme or mix it up and do the Moto GP anniversary colors Spies and Lorenzo are running this year?
Obviously the original is "historically" correct but given that the bike will not be 100% original I am not sure how much something different would detract from the future value.
The YSR in the photo is not mine!!
Comments / suggestions??

Yes, seen this site but havent seen a rep in this years colors. I am not planning on selling the bike but to keep it as a toy for me and my son so may go the custom route..
I always preferred the Yellow/Black combination:
LOL. Sorry! I believe that we will be at the R-O-R again this year. He is riding his Concours 1000 up this weekend (from Richmond, VA) for a local HS reunion (covering the entire 70's decade - should be a blast), and I will ask him about the R-O-R at that time. I know that he (and I) would hate to miss it. We *love* old Japanese bikes!
I am anxious to try out his C-10, as I am interested in having my wife try it out for passenger comfort. If it gets her blessing, I am going to buy one (or quite possibly a C-14).
Unless it is pouring rain, we will be on bikes. I just do not know what kind yet...

Yellow and black is the scheme to go with. Sorry.

Replace the red with a baby blue and that's the color scheme I have.

Nice project bud. Reminds me of this bike I saw for sale last week on route 20 near downtown Northborough.
That thing is beautiful. Too bad my crappy iphone picture does not do justice to it.
Ohhh...yeahh...to answer you question: I would do the anniversary edition colors they ran on the M1, which is somewhat similar to the colors on the picture of the bike I posted above.
