depends on the bike and the rider.

i know i wouldn't try to lead or ride at the front of the "super good riding members group" on say anything older than a 02 liter bike with tires that are no more than a year old.

but then again, my 04 r1 is just about too old.

Screw that, I bet I could lead a "super good riding members group" ride on my 18 year old EX500 & I don't think many people here would have a problem w/ that.

Seriously, the bike you ride has virtually nothing to do w/ your skill level.

Never in my comments did I single anyone out, or make any mention of any particular ride. I was trying to get a point across for those individuals that know they are a hooligan at heart, that I am not interested in taking my chances riding with them. The only way I found a good group of riders to hang with is by doing other group rides over the past years from this site and a few other. I don't need to find more, but I am also not against meeting others that ride with a similar mind set and riding style. I have a right to be selective if I want too, I don't feel I offended anyone, I wasn't trying too. All I was doing was putting my interests of what type of riders I want to meet up with and hit the twisties with. YOU twisted it into a personal attack which it was not. So if this had nothing to do with you why do you feel the need to open you mouth? Thanks for wasting my time discussing this. I want my 15 minutes back...

Maybe you should Remove the object stuck behind you.

Hey Bill, thanks for your insites! Your right on target, as are you Bruce, Pete, and Duc Dave...

I don't give a shit how long you've been on this forum. You could have posted it in a nicer way. It just amazes me how quick everyone in this forum is so quick to judge other riders. When you say "Good riding group" people in here are going to question that. No one has ever done that before or at least its a first that i've seen. I have a feeling your mirror has broken a long time ago and looking at it is no longer useful.

Ok, I don't know if this is a serious post or what. if it is, I definitely take offense to it.

I've led a few rides with pretty fast guys at decent paces on my 10 year old CBR and had no issues or complaints. I'm plenty capable of handling it as I would be a late model liter bike.

I agree with your liking to ride with like-minded people. However, the above statement applies to just about everyone on this site who rides on the street. A "sprirted" pace applies that you intend to being somewhat of a hooligan.

There are definitely things in a larger group ride that you just don't do. (wheelies in the middle of the pack is definitely a no-no in my book)

Now, can't we all just get along and ride?

So cut that shit out! Won't you?

One more thing: I am just thankful that anyone would actually ride with a "Old Fart" like me. Thanks guys!
that's it im not riding with you.

it's the attitude. some people changed and some don't. i remember halfsquid used to pull wheelie all the time in group ride. im still doing it. bad habit? what about passing cars and double the speed? part of riding i guess. as far as respect others, we all can do that? is anyone still in puberty? raise your hand Steve.
