If a company needs you (and it sure sounds like Mike's company needs him) they will not let him go (fire/layoff). When I put in for my vacation time, I don't ask for it.. I tell them when I'm leaving and when I'm returning and usually with 2 months notice. If they question the attitude, replace me

I don't think mike is worried about gettign laid off. My point is he treats them well while they treat him like shit. I don't ask for vacation either, most of the time it's about a months notice tops. Last yhear I think it was two weeks notice for the deals trip, sometimes an hour notice for a good weather day of riding.

Benifits still suck, but I got a nice promotion with a 10% raise, and I get another 15% + loads of overtime while in the field so the money right now is way too good to miss out on. It's going to be this busy till the end of 2007 or more, so I am goingto soak up as much $ as I can ehile it's here! & looks like Next year I may be making some huge $ working in China for a lengthly amount of time.

If they really needed me to go to San Jaun, I would hace because the $ is great and San Juan would be fun! Deals Gap could have waited till September, so I would have to make you all go again!

From now on it should be a $100 up front non-refundable. Once we get down we can figure if people get $ back or owe only a few bucks more... It is almost always around $100.

Or make people pay the rest of the money owed 1 month prior to departure! Now we have to pay more (all be it not that much but still more) and have no real chance to fill the vacant spots.

I have no problem bringing my trailer, but at the same time we have no need to. As long as the person doesn't mind pitching in a fair share of the fuel and toles, I don't mind bringing my trailer

Oh, I am definately going on vacation unless they make me an offer of at least $5K to give up my vacation. (Which there is no way they will do that) My situation now is not having enough time to get any riding in or have time to even get ready. I told them today If I do go to Puerto Rico I need to be home 4 days prior to my trip so I can get shit done for the trip, no exceptions..
