Finally back from a loooong but awesome day of riding a13x and I had never ridden the Kanc before so we set out this afternoon to see the famed roadway ourselves. But first, we had to make a few pit stops. First we rolled up to Loudon to check on our camper, no break-in and nothing was amiss, so we head back out so I could finally see weirs beach. Never seen it before, bike week or not. Grab a bite to eat and then we decided we better practice our body positioning before we hit the ill-nasty roads up ahead
Then we set off on routes 25 and 16 to head up to the Kanc. Scenery was gorgeous- the lake, trees, everything! we even ran into a classic car show and popped in to take a looksie.
we finally roll up on the Kanc. we hit the kanc traveling east-west and the road had tons of wide sweeping turns to begin with, some so-so areas in the middle, and then the grand finale of tight turns at the end. The scenery was way too distracting- the rapids, falls, peaks and trees. The Kanc was a nice ride, but I'm not sure it held up to the expectations I had from all the talk it garnered. At any rate, still had a good time seeing it all.
And the lousiest part of the trip concluded with a bum rush home on 93.... freeway riding blows Anywho, thus concludes our 350 mile trip of the day
