Kawi rally at Lake George, NY

I just got some email from Kawi about a rally at Lake George, NY from June 5-9. I guess they have demo rides and such if you sign up ahead of time. Just thought I would post it for anyone in the area.

yeah Americade always has a ton of demos. My buddy got to thrash a Buell a few years ago

Even if the rally sucks, the surrounding roads are probably nice since it is in the Adirondacks.

Not much that is very exciting goes on at Americade, its mostly older folks on touring bikes. Nontheless, there are lots of good rides all around Lake George, and the town itself is good fun.

In the past only the Harleys and Buells are free to Demo, all other makes were located at the Roaring Brook Ranch just outside of town which you had to pay $20 to get in. The $20 pass was good all week, but if your just cruising up for just a day it may not be worth it. Could be different this year, but I doubt it.

In my experience, you've got to get at least 15 miles away from Lake George to avoid the roving herds of flag slathered tassle-monkeys. A ride over to violate some of NY's best roads is a great idea, I'm hitting Tracey Road tomorrow. I just wouldn't go much south of Ticonderoga during Americade.
