Hello all. I'm new to NESR site and pretty excitied to find it. I've been looking for a good site to network to other riders in this area for awhile now. I got to the point where I started an a excel sheet of contacts of the people in the area that ride.
My goal is to get as many people on this list as possible to plan group rides, events and to mainly network with each other and make new friends with similar intrests.. sportbikes!
Shoot me your email address in a private message so I can add you to our list of riders. When we plan our first group ride you'll get all the details.
This will be totally free and legit!!!!!
Thanks! -Curtis

Why woudln't you just post the group ride details on this forum?
I will be, as well as two other sites that I've been using.
The reason I'm taking everyones email address is to put in a distribution list to cordinate group rides via email.
There are lot of riders out there that don't use forums like we do.

Welcome NinjaSwan...under the "rides & events" forums, there are tons of rides being posted here(obviously more coming as the weather gets better), and you can post rides you want to coordinate as well. That's how most rely on putting these things together here, right through the forum.

+1.....I was eager to meet other riders as well when I first started riding....but I realized that it will come with time, to meet the people who ride in your area or a little further away from home. Here in Springfield I see a lot of sportbikes who are only posers and consider themselves riders when all they do really is just put-putting around downtown and parking their bikes on some busy street. If I want to meet "real" riders, I need to rely on NESR and a few other sportbike forums I'm on, I find this is my best shot at meeting other riders. If I meet local riders when I go out of the house, that's super cool, but helas it doesn't happen very often.
Welcome to NESR by the way!![]()

As much as it's a good thing you're doin, just like there's email people, there's forum people
I ride w/ either, but i keep my eyes on the forums & my cell phone. I already get enough email
Welcome to the forum bro. Keep up the good work![]()

Definately agree with what you have to say. The people i met on the road are cool, but the people i've met off of forums are a lot more passionate/edcuated about the sport.Originally posted by MissTwisties

I ended up meeting a guy who rides that lives a town over from me through a forum. Now we're really good friends and usually meet every weekend for a ride.
The first season I started out I knew no one involved in this sport, and now I know a small handful of people I could call up if I was looking for a buddy to go riding with. It's cool to ride solo but its nice every once in a while to go out with a group of people.
definitley seems like it. This is my second season. I bought my Ninja at the end of last season so this is my first real season. I know several people that are like how you mentioned above, just not passionate enough or have a bike just to say they have one. That's not what i'm about. I'm even toying around with the idea of getting into racing after I become more experienced.

oh, puuulease. You know it's not the word "ticket" that "tick" them off but rather the fact that some people will think it's so unfair that they got ticket for SPEEDING. I like to speed too (altho I'm far from being as maniac as some of you in here!Originally posted by Kham

) but if I get a ticket, I'll try to be as nice as possible to the officer and get a lesser fine, but really, what else can I do even if I'm pissed? I was speeding, I broke the law, and even tho I might not like it....oh shoot, here I am bla-blating again. I'm done. Sorry...

Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.
I'm in the same boat, bought my Fizzer last July, didnt really start riding until September, I waited until I had completed the MSF course and was fully licensed before really going out besides riding around the lot at the storage area I had my bike. This will be my first full season as well. Put about 2,000 miles on the bike already.![]()
Speaking of riding, even with the chance of showers likely on Saturday, I'll be hitting VT, hoping they didnt get hit too bad up there, so hopefully the roads are clear. I think I'll make a thread.
I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.
Rochester NH here!
Always looking for a ride to get involved in... as long as its not a boatload of bikes all at once. most of the time it seems like 5 or 6 bikes is good. Real easy to stay together and keep track of everyone. The larger groups have some squiddy's in there usually.

OMG!! What is that Ball of Fire in the sky??? Is that the SUN?!?!?! This amasing. I'll actually get to ride today!!
Nope, havent tried the tracks yet but I would love to try it! I'll probably get my chance before the season is over. My roommate just got the new r6 so I know he wants to try it out too.

How much are you paying for these riders? I have a few available that I'm willing to part with. Shouldn't this be int he for sale/ wanted section?
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
