Okay, here's what I've come up with so far. (I have no problem discussing routes for this as summa us are gonna have pillions, thus making it a ride on the mellow side. Also, I've thrown in a coupla scenic routes too for those looking for photo opp's...)
Meet at the Mall at 10:00...
Take some local roads around Lake Massabesic to get to route 107...
Take 107 north to route 28...
28 north for a coupla miles to route 126...
126 to route 202A, which will take us to route 11. There's a Burger King at that junction...
11 West for a coupla miles to route 153...
153 up to the Conway area, back track a few miles and hit Bear Notch Road off of the Kanc. Bear Notch's road surface sucks, but the views are outrageous...
Take 302 west up through Nawford's Crotch, er....Crawford's Notch to route 3...
Take 3 down to route 93, passing through Franconia Notch, and get off at exit 32. I realize the whole slab thing, but it's only for a few miles. And those that want to, we can stop for some pix of The Bloke On The Bump (Old Man Of The Mountain)...
From exit 32, we have a few really nice options. We can take route 118 south, we can take the Kanc from west to east, or we can take 175 south...
At that point, summa us are gonna hafta decide what we need to do. I know there's a few of us that have plans for later on, and I gotta be back at my place by 4:00 or so...
Word to the wise: The 'notches' we'll be passing through have weather systems of their own. It's bad enough the weather geeks can't get shit right, but shit's ALWAYS changing up through there. Take it as you may...
I'd like to hear from snowboarder about routes once we get back over to 93...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Jay,
What I would suggest is rather than go through Franconia Notch, slide down 116 to 112. (we could still slide over to the bloke on the bump for a break) Take 112 to 118. Take 118 to 25. Take 25 to Hxxx'x Bxxxx Rd. Take that over to 3a to my shortcut over to 132. Take 132 south to Concord and part from there.
I was thinking of meeting youz when you head up in this neck of the woods. Ie in Ossipee?

Sounds good to me. We'll see if anyone's looking to check out The Bloke to see if we even need to head down to Franconia. Would you mind leading the 'downside' part of the ride then?
We're not really going through Ossippee. But we could meet just west of the junction of 153 & 25, on 25. If I remember, there's a little Mobil station there. Not sure how long it'll take us to get there though. I believe JJ and Bill are meeting early and either riding to my place or just meeting us in Manch. If ya wanna just slab it down to Manch, I could meet you at the NH Park & Ride at the 93/89 interchange around 9:30 or so...

I'll let you know.... Either I'll do that or meet you on 153 somewhere.

Snowborder, lets hook up early around here and I'll follow you to where we need to go. If we need to meet anybody else around here we can pick a spot or ride to meet them. Let me know I can start anytime on Saturday. Whatever sounds good the more people we get the better.

Reading about this ride is getting me all excited.![]()

now thats some funny shit yo!!!! missing the oppurtunity to bag on my mom, i am disappointed with you.oreo? what's the status on yer mom?
here it goes, she is old, single and in need of a man... you man enuff for the job?
anyways, i made it to Mach mall in about 1/2 hour a couple of weeks back, sunday morning there was zero traffic and i had room to fly up the road.
reality wise, on a saturday, 45 minutes is a good estimate.
no word on my mom yet, if i can make it i will be at the rest stop to meet you and JC. Its not looking good though.

I'd give yourself 45 min to get from Boston to the rest area...you never know what'll be up with traffic. It's another 25-35 min. from the rest stop to the mall.Originally posted by SWEET_Z

And FYI for the rest stop crew. I'll be stacking up a mean wheelie leaving the the rest stop. Don't fuckin' get in front of me and then slow down or you're gonna have a TL/Lanky bastard for a tailpiece!
Oh yeah, and the slowing down thing applies to corners too. Nobody cares how fast you are in a straight line, if you're getting people up your ass on every corner, drop back! I remember on the VT trip early this year, riding up a few people's asses going into every corner, only to have them blast down the straight WFO, making it very difficult to pass. I often ended up passing on the outside, over the double yellow line, just to get by. I hate that!![]()
Oh and one more thing...I'm fucking itching to get my fix. There's gonna be some ass-hauling on this ride, rite?!
Damn, that reminds me, I really need leather pants with knee pucks!![]()

You crazy fuck!!! Or should I say, 'whoo hooo'? But yeah, you made some good points...
Coupla other things: Chances are I'll be leading most of this ride. For those that have never ridden with me, I DO NOT like people riding next to me, period. I don't want you showing me your tire unless you're planning to take the lead. Okay?
Also, don't be stupid trying to keep up. WE WON'T LOSE ANYBODY. If ya fall behind, there'll be someone waiting for you at the next stop/light/intersection...
One more thing: Summa us are gonna have pillions, which means passing is gonna somewhat limited. Just chill, a'ight? There's really gonna be too many of us anyway to worry about dusting a line of cars. Just be cool, we'll get where we're going...
I only mention these things 'cuz there's a few that I've never ridden with. Don't worry, we're not total losers. Just wanted to lay down some quick guidelines, and I'll probably go over 'em again before we leave the mall...
And at any time if the pace is too slow, anyone's more than welcome to take the lead. I'll be riding at less than my normal pace due to my wife riding pillion. On the other side of the coin, if the pace is too brisk, speak up too...

i'll just start in the rear, that way no one has to pass me.
