After driving a '91 ford ranger for over a month, I finally got back on the FZR 600 and...
wow
I know it's obvious but this thing is lighter, faster, brakes better, is much more fun, and just feels like a rocketship!
Anyone else make it out there?
48 is a perfectly comfortable temperature without heated anything, or balaclavas for me.

I rode last night... it wasn't too bad.
It sure felt good to get the bike out... but I wish I could have gotten out during the daylight.

+1 on the balaclavas, though.

Had my last ride on Sunday. I kept thinking about fucking up the bike on the last day of my season (worried about ice/salt piles). When I got the bike set up for the winter nap it was almost a relief.
I started her up, but just as I was getting ready for a quick ride around the block, the wife reminded that we were late for her brothers birthday party.

Do you think we'll get another chance? this november and december have had their moments, but on the whole have been alright.
And no, there aren't any bags on the fzr...feels like the truck ones have been a waste of gas mileage so far![]()
Otherwise, I know well enough about cold riding...the concern isn't so much comfort (under gear) as much as it is black ice, salt, frost heaves on exit ramps, longer warming tires etc.
I don't put the bike away she just stays "ready" for those days I feel like riding.

I was out testing a few mods out. It was a bit chilly though.....especially at 170mph!
