you fellas gonna end up on T******* rd?
If saturday is nice we'll probably be in the area, but we'll be heading over a good bit south, hit the good roads, and end up in Lake Placid before heading towards home.
Given our location, it's not too feasible to head for burlington...plus there's possibly 3 of us, maybe more by the weekend
We may run into you en route. T**** Rd is part of the plan. We're avoiding Lake Placid though.

If we take the same route over, leaving around the same time, and what not we'd be in the greater T***** rd area probably a little after noon, 1-2pm or so.
Course coming from b-town you guys are much closer
Yeah, we'll be at T**** Rd two or three hours before you.

You guys been on E******* rd lately? A few weeks ago when we hit T****** we hit E******* first and it wasn't bad at all. there were some patches of sand, but they were all visible, no middle of the turn surprises. That was a few weeks ago.
Another thing....did E******* get repaved recently? We were last on it in 06, and it was a lot rougher, cracks, holes, missing pavement etc.
now it's sweet as hell
E*** got repaved last summer.
We'll be hitting that too on the way home.

Soooooo the 21st is tomorrow, who is going?
Catamount, Motofreak - you guys in on this??
the weather doesn't look so hot in the afternoon....doh
I should be there
Forecast is partly sunny with only a 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. That's according to weather.com. The National Weather Service says 20%.
Mike, I tried to talk Catamount into coming along at Bike Night on Tuesday, but he's away for the weekend. Oh well. I also emailed MotoFreak about it but haven't heard back.

I will be going tomorrow, hopefully it stays dry all day. How many miles we looking at doing
Good times! Thanks Mark for leading a great ride. 345 miles for me door to door. Not bad!
Ducster, SV650N, (and fella on the other SV that i didn't get the name of) - Great riding with you guys.
T***** rd was amazing!
Thanks again.
Jon was on the other SV (village idiot, doesn't post much). It was a good ride, with it's usual mishaps, such as the near incident with the blue Silverado and the ever diligent NY State Police, not to mention the random bursts of ice cold rain, but overall it was quite an adventure, and I hit some roads I never new existed. Thanks for the good ride guys!
T**** Rd is always amazing!
Yeah, that was a fun one, the asshole in the Silverado notwithstanding (I hate braking mid-turn).
And for any readers wondering about the NY State Police, no, none of us got pulled over, but we did pick up a statie tail just outside of Tupper Lake. We kept our speed just under the limit, and eventually he got bored and turned around.
And we now have several roads to add to the collection of ones that shall remain nameless online.
Great riding with you guys!

So I uh, almost joined you guys. Next time.
As for the statie tail in NY...been there done that. Next time it happens, do what we did, hit the first pull off you come to and take 5. Unfortunately the lady copper following us at the time realized we weren't some stupid squids and tried to cover up her following us by pulling into the same pull off (it was big) and she pretended? to clock passing vehicles.. ah well.
she got bored and left after a bit. We did toy with her though, we did 5mph over the limit.
Glad you guys had a decent ride. I stayed local
The ride today was awesome. Thanks again Mark for leading the way. Yeah that state cop would not get off my ass. On the way back to my house route 17 wasnt that bad a lot of people out though. So whens the next ride?
That'll be it for me for a few weeks -- I'm leaving July 4 for a 10-day, 3000-mile ride through the Canadian Maritimes, and I'll be spending this coming weekend doing the final prep and packing for the trip. I'm getting back from the Canada trip on July 13, but then the next weekend I've got plans for Saturday, and Sunday's the Laguna Seca MotoGP race (with accompanying events that John from ICCE is putting together). And then the weekend after that is the Western Maine European Motorcycle Meet, which I'll try to get to.
But the weekend after that, August 2, my Triumph RAT pack has a ride planned for the Vermont Gaps (App Gap, Middlebury Gap, Brandon Gap, and Rochester Gap), which you guys are more than welcome to join us on.
