Yes you heard right, it's not a typo, plans are in motion to take a trip to everyone's favorite Virginia track for the end of this season. Twice in one year, can you take the excitement? I know that you cannot.
If you can only attend one trackday this year...well you should have already attended the NETR trackday last March! If you didn't you missed out on a phenomenal time, as anyone who was down there can tell you. And you should sign up straightaway for Derek's 2006 thread, there's nothing quite like having two days with virtually the whole track to yourself, it's just awesome.
But if you suffer from an overabundance of disposable income and a severe addiction to trackdays, then perhaps one trip to VIR per year just isn't enough. In that case why not head down twice, once to start the season and once to end it?
Like March, this would be a double header event. First day is Monday the 7th, which would be a cornerspeed school event held on VIR's GRAND COURSE, that's the North and South VIR course combined into 3.2 miles of pure motorcycle heaven. The track school is optional and comprises one of the three sessions of the day, with the other two for Racers and Enthusiasts (Trackday Riders) respectively.
Second day is Tuesday the 8th, held by BCM Ducati (for all brands of motorcycles) on VIR's north course, same as we ran in March and an absolutely phenomenal slab of pavement with sweet turns and elevation changes to satisfy even the most discriminating palette.
Pricing for the two days would be $585 if you do the Cornerspeed riderschool the first day and the standard BCM trackday the second, or $400 if you opt out of the school and do a normal trackday both days. Either way it's grand course monday, north course tuesday.
These are normal trackdays not at all affiliated with or run by NESR or NETR, you're welcome to sign up with cornerspeed on their website and pay them directly, or I've contact Aaron Stevenson to see about reserving a block of spots if there's enough interest on here.
Transportation and hotel accomodations would be up to you, but again if there's enough interest on here I will inquire about securing a block of hotel rooms somewhere and we can get a thread for people to group together and trailer bikes down.
So, who's in?
