Pete's 7lbs per HP thread reminded me of my Weight loss thread from last year. http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...ss-thread.html
So as of today I am 205. Looking to get down under 190. (at least)
If you are trying to lose too, post up your weight and your progress in this thread.

I am down 36 pounds from my highest of 206 to 170 now...
For those interested... I got down to about 177 with P90X... last 7 pounds wouldn't budge until I just finished a round of Insanity... another program put out by Beachbody (the P90X people)... Amazing cardio... I'm going to mix it up a bit now with the Insanity cardio and add in more weights to bulk a little...
Good luck Doc!!! I've been at it almost exactly a year but it's been worth it!!!
Mike

175...would like to get to 165 by summer.
Was 265 at the beginning of December, now 245, and the goal is 220. I wouldn't mind getting down to 200 or lower, but with my height and build my doctor says anything less than 210 would be unhealthy. :\
Been working out/jogging, and am on a high-protein diet. I never realized how expensive it is to eat mostly meat. lol

If life gives you lemons... Sue the motherfu**er!
Ok, I'll play, but I'm a bit different coming from the background of cycling:
Race weight in 2007: 138-140lbs
Weight upon starting med skool: 142lbs
Current weight: 147lbs
Upper limit (preferably): 150lbs
I set the upper limit thinking it would be easy to stay under if I ate right and continued working out. The latter is quite difficult given the cold weather of VT and the disdain I have for slamming around big pieces of metal in an attempt to get "yoked". Hockey, skate skiing and snowshoeing are keeping me sane these days. Well, not these exact days given that I'm in Maine on a nasty rotation that eats up any free time I'll have. I work 23 of the next 25 days...That 150lbs limit is seriously in peril.
Good luck to all those trying to slim down and remember, its just (calories in) versus (calories out + base metabolic rate).

On 1/1/11 I weighed 215...today 203. Cut out any food with corn syrup stuff in it.
In Jan. 2010 I was promoted from Laborer to Foreman at work and put on almost 20 lbs. over the next 6 months. I was approaching 195 lbs and knew I had to start doing something. I kept putting it off but around sept. I started bringing healthy lunches and not eating my usual donuts in the morning! That helped, but then after I put my bike away in early Nov. I knew I needed to do something to stay in shape so I started jogging after work and doing a quick workout at home. I got my weight down to 183 lbs, and now I'm hitting the gym every other day lifting weights and riding the exercise bike. It has been good for my legs and has kept my weight pretty steady around the 180-185 mark. I'd like to get back to my old lean self @ 165 lbs, but just don't have the time with work and 2 kids. Changing my diet was huge, though I do miss donuts.

I can resist everything but Pete's mom.
lol I always love the "I don't have time to get in shape" excuse.

Weekly workout is 2 days upper body from P90X, 1 day upper body routine at the gym and 1 day lower body at the gym. Other 3 days will be for cardio+abs.

18% BF after a pretty bad year... Hoping be about 10% by late spring.
I'm out in CA with my road bike now -- Got in 265 miles in the last 7 days with 25,000 feet of climbing. Definitely a good start to the year. Wish I had my motorcycle out here too...
Was 190 in Dec. Am now @ 174ish. Trying to get down to 168-170. Radically changed my diet. No more processed foods/MSG's. Even started eating fish once to twice a week. Took alot of sodium out of the equation and started eating a ton more fruits and veggies. And I do cardio 4 days a week plus weightlift 4-5 times a week.
current weight: 195
normal, and goal weight: 185
started running again recently, hope that helps cause i lack motivation to do anything else![]()
