Sold my Kawi to my roomie, and picked this up today! I'm sticking with Aprilia! Love em. '04 Tuono with a full LV exhaust, front and rear sliders, OZ Aluminum rims, 520 chain, and Acculign rear-sets. I love it! Super comfy and I still have the same performance as the Mille (ish). Going to put the Mille on track duty for awhile.

Great looking bike. Make sure you get it over to 191 sometime.

So you are going to be the Aprillia guy huh?
Congrats!

Every now and then I find myself in those "right place, right time" situations...def. a good find! The 9R is a great bike, and I'll miss her, but she's available to me whenever, so it all worked out well.
Yes sir!
Thanks man, someone's gotta be! We've got a local Aprilia, Ducati, MV, and Guzzi shop out here, but I have yet to see another Ape on the road.

Gotta love the Aprilia's. And to have two....
I remember when I was the Ducati guy. Then a bunch of losers went out an bought them.![]()

Word...and I think any wanna-be who thinks buying a Ducati is a "social" upgrade can go out and get one and then be part of an exclusive group of riders now without actually understanding what they purchased...now those that buy an Aprilia know all about Ducati (and might even own one) but after checking into shit, find that the same level of detail, performance, exclusivity, and race heritage are found in Aprilia as are found in a Ducati. That and they are just as much fun, with half the operating costs, and don't break down as often (but still have their little nuances that make them a wonderful Italian pain in the ass).
But really, if I had more money, and a bigger garage, I would have a 999S right now too. Along with a Hypermotard, Streetfighter, RSV4, RSVR Factory, RSVR Tuono Factory, an RS250, and for shits and giggles, an MV F4...among other things.
Which reminds me...hows that garage you had built working out Doc?

+1 Chuck!
Thanks man, I like the new style too, and you know I almost bought a Factory before coming out here...however, this was such a good deal, and the first gens are very hard to come by, especially with the what has been put into it! And there's just something about the front end, the bike just looks good!

I beg to differ.Aprillia has not been CLOSE to Ducati in detail, performance, exclusivity and race heritage until the last couple years. Ducati still has the race heritage over an Ape anyday.
I dare say Aprillia's are more rare than Ducati now though. When I got my first Duc the only other people that had them were "old guys" that should have had BMW's but hadn't let go of their youth. Now "everyone" has one.
