She made it home. A HUGE thanks to Robbie, Joe, Graham and the folks at Cyclewise/Ducati VT for the work they did on my 998.
She went in poppin and lockin like she should have starred in Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo. Chain loose. Fried (and I do mean torched!) rear brake system. Back/afterfire from hell. missing a bolt here and there...squared off tires....
Good times.
She's home with everything remedied, and Robbie was kind enough to go over every single thing they did, and what they recommended for the future. She still has a bit of a backfire, but that's an issue with the chip (DP racing chip), so that may only work out with a Power Commander or new ECU. They were kind enough to look at all potential sources and even help out on labor costs when all was said and done (as there is still some residual afterfire).
Work completed: CO's adjusted, throttle bodies sync'd, Cam timing, belt inspection/tightening, new rear brake system, new chain/15T/41T, tires installed.
I am stoked to have these guys as close as they are, and to provide quality service for the major work. I was informed of work to be done, parts needed and status of the bike every step of the way. This is a bit refreshing after my experiences in Salt Lake.
Thanks guys. See you for the 12K service, if not sooner.

Happy to hear you got your duc back. Hope to get to see it the next time I make it up for bike night. I'll bring my duc next time and leave the harley home. Vermont got damn lucky when Cyclewise became a Ducati shop. Nothing but good things to say about the entire crew there.

I have to agree with the excelent service of Cyclewise! I was just toodling by one day and i knew my front tire was dieing, so i popped in to say hello. They took one look at my front tire, rearranged their completely booked schedule and had me happily on my way within 30 minutes! And at a reasonable price! Very, very happy with Cyclewise!

ready to get your tires done? or did they take care of it?
I can't say enough good things about cyclewise. Top notch dealership.
Hey J-bell,
They did for me. Bit costly vs doing it ourselves, but got it all done at one time.
This fall, after a couple of track days, I'll be mounting my next set...if I ride hard enough.

I'll jump on this bandwagon. Brought my GT1000 to Cyclewise for its 7500 mile service. Although it went in riding pretty well, it was a serious mess, dried mud everywhere it isn't supposed to be. Came back looking like new, they must have gone through a whole lot of Qtips, and the few squeaks that were there were gone. Very happy with them.
Carpe Diem
