I think the photographer captured the feel of the sport perfectly.
His name is Stuart Burns and here's his site:

I wish we had some kind of a motorcycle road race or TT here in the US. Why do the UK people get all the fun.
We love being pussies over here, Jason....at least nowadays anyway.
Case and point, read the article regarding the Cincinati Reds smoking in the clubhouse....at least 5 people reported the illegal act of smoking indoors after WATCHING IT ON TV!!

A few years back they were gonna do a TT in Nova Scotia. I was looking into doing the Jr TT but a month or so before they cancelled it.

also because even if they got it all approved and it went down without a hitch and there wasn't a single crash some dickhead hippy would sue them because they were woken up from their saturday afternoon nap by screaming bikes a mile away but didn't bother to speak up when it was in the planing stages.

We should look further into it. SCCA can get public roads for hill climbs and time trials, I don't know why we couldn't get some organization to do it. About 3 years ago, the Austin Healey group did a rally here in VT. They closed the Bolton Valley access road for their hill climb.
Granted I know things are different for bikes, we like run-off instead of guard rails, it sucks that we couldn't get something together.

was thinking realistically, as if an insurance company would actually give a liability coverage to an event here in the states.
I've watched a tone of the IoM TT, NW200 and the Macau TT. I know how they run those things and how close they are to obstacles off the road.
here's a hill climb video I found that took place at Burke MT in VT. I'm guessing it was a gs650 or something like that.

2nd edit: looks like there's hill climbs all over VT that Max BMW run's in. I wonder if we could get more bikes into this? last one is coming up for Mt. Philo in 2 weeks. I'm working that weekend and it's freak's party, but I still am going to try to stop in and get more info from the org.
