The vents on the tank are awesome, very cool bike. Interesting to see how well the team does this year.

With a 2-time WSBK champ at the helm, I don't think they're too worried about losing Spies. And I believe Toseland is one of only two active WSBK riders (along with Corser) to have won the championship. He's got a real shot at getting a 3rd this year.
Oh, and that other guy, Cal Crutchlow? Yeah, he just came off of winning the '09 World Supersport Championship. I suspect the mfg points between Ducati and Yamaha are going to be a lot closer this year.
It'll be hard not to root for Sterilgarda this season.
Cal has a good shot if he stays on the bike, especially places like Valencia.

I'd like to see Biaggi and Camier take the RSV4 to the podium over and over again. Biaggi had a good run last year, and I'd love to see the V4 beat the pack.
After him, I'd say the Yamaha boys are the best shot, followed by Nitro Nori. Unfortunately I don't see the BMWs getting more than a couple of podiums at best this year.
i cant wait for crutchlow to wipe the floor with toseland
Agreed. Who in their right mind complains when they have a factory Yamaha WSBK ride?

I didn't hear him say anything bad about the SBK team?
I don't see him complaining as much as I see him upset that he essentially got 'demoted.' At the level these guys play at, a seat in MotoGP is the one goal they all work towards, it's the pinnacle of the sport. I'd be a little ticked off too to be replaced by someone who accomplished less than me at the world competition level. I'm sure there's a lot of talk in all paddocks of whether or not Spies can hack it in GP, and Toseland might feel the same. He probably feels like he's a more accomplished rider, and rightfully so.
Will you still have the same "stick up his ass" opinion of him if Spies proves to be less successful than Toseland in GP, or would you just find some other
reason to hate him? I'm not a huge fan of the guy either, but he's a proven winner in WSBK, particularly in an era where he had to beat out guys like Bayliss and Hodgson.
You don't need a PHD in English to pick up on the underlying tone that JT is pissed off. My point is more toward the fact that he seems a little too cocky in terms of where he is right now. He should feel lucky that he even has a ride with how he rode in the premier class. The Malaysia and Jerez crashes shook him up bad. Rightfully so. But champions bounce back from that sort of thing. He didn't.
It doesn't matter what Spies does this year. He earned that seat and anyone who disagrees is kidding themselves. If JT puts together another championship and Ben falters (which I highly doubt), then I'd say give the Brit another shot.
As of right now, he's lost his "fast" and it remains to be seen if he can get it back under race pressure.
Without Spies in WSBK I would say this has to be Haga's Year

Do you think he can keep it together? It always seems like Haga puts together a strong first half of the season and then chokes and starts crashing in the second half.
I'm yet to find a black and white answer to this question. One would speculate that it was to move cool air around the air box and electronics.
There is a third vent on top of the air box that could theoretically serve as an exhaust port for those 2 side vents. It's in a low pressure zone as well so when those 2 vents are being charged perhaps it dumps hot air out of the top vent.
Then again it may just be for show.
