Cut that number in half since most bikes WOULD require bodywork removal.
CCS Tech inspectors do it without issue.
It's a moot point for many reasons. Not least of which is I don't race anymore but when I was I did it every other weekend.
There was a time though that the CCS rulebook specifically stated which bikes needed bodywork removal.
Not to mention CCS required you to bring the bellypan with you to tech as well as all your gear.

CCS still required that, at least in Jersey, as recently as last year. Leathers, helmet, gloves, back protector, underwear, and girlfriends mom (since I'm sure I'm forgetting something). It was enough that nobody of the 4 people I was pitting with could even GET to tech with all the required shit, without help. Fuck it though, if it makes everyone safer I'm cool with it.

Race a two stroke. The oil is in the gas. No need to see the drain plug cause there is none.

Gearbox has oil in it, therefore has a drain plug.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

I'm staying out of the rest...

But as a former tech inspector, besides the difficulty in seeing most bikes drain and filter through the bodywork ... we were also looking at the general condition of the motor area.

Often times, while someones drain and filter were wired, we would find other issues that needed attention. Oil leaks, etc.

Not to mention that everything takes much longer with bodywork on. Even if it's just 30 seconds or a minute... multiply that by the number of racers and you can see how it could add up.

Granted, tech is way streamlined these days... we used to only tech Sat mornings... then Friday nights were added... now its spread out much longer.

I'll have it figured out by then. Remember that Group 4 was always combined with Group 3, so the rhythm of practice shouldn't be too disrupted.

Looks like there has been a little editing going on. Left side front plates ok at loudon now. No need for both sides on bikes with a center air duct.

At least 91 octane fuel must be used...is this a hindrance for some stock motored bikes that are built for 87 octane?
    7.2 Fuel
7.2.1 All riders must use an approved spec fuel.
7.2.1.1 There are 2 locations that racers can purchase fuel off of NHMS property only the PREMIUM gas is approved; One is 91 Octane at the Shell station approximately 1 mile from NHMS to the South; The other is 93 Octane at the Gulf station approximately 1 mile to the South of the Speedway on Route 106

My GS and some of the EX's could likely benefit from 80 octane.

So, technically, I'm still out of compliance with the left side plate, since I don't have a duct.

    Oh well.

No nit simply says "left side only at loudon"

where'd you read that? the 2.2 version on lrrsracing.com says
If the front fairing is broken by an air intake the number must be displayed on both sides of the machine. (The riders left at Loudon)
    and this contradicts itself.

    lrrsracing.com isn't official. Go with what's printed, and till that's available what's at nhms.com.

For the past three seasons it has been premium pump gas only from the Shell station. As Shell changed their premium to 91 Octane, the gas station across the street was added for the 93.

The issue with pump gas in any spec fuel program - the recipe’s changes so fast (with every tanker delivery) and keeping up with testing for compliance becomes problematic. Restricting to Premium from a know station was a better alternative than not allowing pump gas at all as in the past (then it was only VPrace fuel pump equivalent at $6+ a gallon).
