Of course, the forecast changed in the last hour even.

I wouldn't sweat it... look up Saturday morning and then you'll have an idea of how it's going to be Saturday.

Yeah, and like everyone always says, Loudon has its own weather system.

Except intermediates suck. They might be the right tire for like one minute. Back to the original options.

How are intermediates not the bridge between DOTs and Rains? I think that would cure the 4 tire swaps I end up doing on the wet/maybe wet/ok it's damp... F@:% Look at the clouds days.

Have you ever seen anyone run intermediates? No. There's your answer.

Re: 43 and raining... Tire options?

The Pirelli intermediate was new to us last year and my guess is that budgets are the main reason people aren't running them.

They are used in World Superbike all the time.

Imagine a compound between a rain and a Slick/DOT - it's the perfect tire for the questionable times. When the track is wet but virtually no puddles... which often means it will dry out during the race (shredding your rains).

If it's starts raining and the track does get wetter - you can likely do about 85% of the rain tire pace.

If the track gets dryer - do 85% of the dry race tire pace... and not ruin the tires!

However, be sure to pre order because it's not likely something we'll stock due to such low volume. We might have to get a set just to prove the point.
