30 days out status:
The sv650 is in another state disassembled, waiting on parts from a different shop. When I get it back there is still work I have to do on it.
My motard crf that I bought 'ready to ride' sends oil from one side of the engine to another. It should be an easy fix but it needs to go to GMD to be resprung.
I'm living on the road with no home in sight and no way to try to fix the CRF even if it didn't have to go to GMD.
My primary sponsor wants me to pay for a vinyl wrap on my trailer out of my pocket.
The CRF could use a valve check/adjustment which I have never done. Maybe someone at round 1 can help.
It's definitely getting to that stressful time.

I know the feeling. My FZR is disassembled, I'm waiting on parts (some of which are coming from the UK) and generally feeling pretty panic-y right now. I honestly am not certain I'll be on track for round 1 as things sit. That on top of some other stressors that just popped up and I'm literally sick from stress, as in day 3 of a full body allergic reaction.
So yeah, 30 days, yaaaay...
What's the deadline to "pre" register for the discounts, waived gate fees and all that?
In the past the deadline has been the by the Monday before the event. In this case that would be by Monday the 20th. I don't know if that means by midnight Sunday, EOB on Monday or midnight on Monday (information seems a bit inconsistent).
That matches the email I just bothered to read:

dropped off bodywork and my exhaust last weekend. dropped off boingy bits at FedEx last night to get a refresh from Ohlins. Brembo, Vortex and Woodcraft hardware ordered yesterday.
ugh, my "racer summer" is coming to an end. this sucks.
Yes it's an 04. The bike blew up about 4 or 5 years ago and I completely rebuilt the motor. There was some internal damage to the cases allowing oil to go back and forth, which was welded and fixed by SRE along with fresh seals.
The only other way for it to happen is some of the seals in the motor, which has also happened (believe it's the right side crankshaft seal that I had trouble with). I opened the case cover and you could see the seal had worked itself out of the seat allowing oil to cross between sides of the motor. I replaced and secured it (believe I loctited the lip) and it ran fine for quite a while without any issues of oil transfer, and then I sold it. Maybe this seal has worked itself out again? If so it's not a hard fix. Make sure you install it in the correct direction... I think that may be what caused the seal to pop out in the first place and then I fixed it and it was all good.

Chris, Think maybe a new set of cases would solve this issue?
28 Days by the way
Maybe, but def not a cheap way to do it... I guess I'd rather replace a seal every once in a while than drop a bunch of cash and time/labor/effort on new cases.![]()

I don't think that's what Adam was implying. It's a fairly common issue for that era CRF to have (Adam has lost that seal at least once in the past, maybe more). But if you have any questions regarding those bikes, he's a good one to ask. He's been through quite a bit with his various CRFs.

Simply saying the cases might not be true enough anymore to promote a good seal and I would replace the cases rather then have a unpredictable leak. Takes 6hrs start to Finnish not a hard job but for now try what you can that's cheaper and easier but if it persists then.....

I located my bike. Pacing myself here.

6 Days worth of weekends, or 3 weekend's.........
Dislike. Last year was much easier, when I was ignorant and care free. I skipped the first weekend, the weather in May was nice, and my bike was ready 6 months before. Now racing, points, winning matters. This year will likely be my first and last chance at winning.
I'm pulling all my stuff back home this weekend and taking the garage back from the wifes Fit. heheheeheheehh I can't wait!
Monday morning and can't wait for Saterday, this will be a long week.
