So I just received a random check from EBC for 2 race finishes at the end of the year... i have them listed as a sponsor and stickers and all that. But i dont know why they sent me a check for those to races and not any other i placed in. How they found out... if there are website out there where i should have been entering my results for them to verify and so on.

I was told EBC, Hotbodies, putbull and a few others give out Contingency... but how do you claim it?

I noticed that they have been pushing to remind people to do the claim sheets at tech a lot this year.

I believe you just need to fill out the contingency forms at tech... and the results are automatically sent (via Sandy).

No idea what a claim sheet is... i dont think i signed anything other than the normal contingency paperwork at Tech. But if i did why did EBC only send money for 2 of the races i placed in?

I have no idea why she comes over half the time... i think she is more confused than i am half the time.

Yeah I got some too... I just figured EBC was monitoring my credit card statements & saw that I bought a set of Vesrah pads and some more Galfer bits

Also depends on the amount of race entries. That could be a factor to not getting paid.

MW SS and SB have a lot... was just strange they only paid for the last weekend I did where i did a HW and a LW.

if i remember correctly they dont payout to one HW, forget which one. Probably missed some payouts due to grid size also.

They must not pay out at all in MW as the grids there have never been less than 10, where as the HW races ive done have been less than 10 each time.

And I wish there was some better communication to the riders as to what is actually needed from us to claim our winnings.

i will check to see if i still have the email, they sent me with specifics. I hear you on the communication thing. i called them to ask if i had any contigency.

I ran SS a bunch of times and placed in it a bunch of times in MW. Also, one of the Certs i already got was for a Light Weight SS race.

It is to a point....but Realize its up to you in the end to Do it and some chose to other don't....

so don't blame her its your Job to get it......seeing as not many other race orgs. do that at all

I think "job" is the wrong word. It is more like a service. It is the racers responsibility to get paid. To get paid we must fill out a form each weekend. What LRRS did is put Sandy, with the forms, at a location which we all must pas through, (tech).

The problem is, we are usually very focused, (on other stuff,) at tech or pressed for time. Sandy is there to provide the form, help fill it out and make sure we have the required stickers on our bikes to get paid.

To her credit she also ventures out and catches some of us in the pits, but with 700+ registered racers in the series, you shouldn't expect much more.

Thats the deal right there. Sandy does a good job helping us to collect. She tries hard.

With CCS u hand in your form at tech. Forgot to check a box ? No money. CCS Tech Guy forgot to check the box? No Money. Do they care? Nope. Its your fault.

Over the years of racing with CCS and FUSA/ASRA, I have lost contingency money from all different type of things. In the end it is the riders responsibility to make sure you have the proper form filled out properly. Hand it in at the proper time and then try your best to follow up if you dont get any money.

The biggest problem I've had this year is not enough finishers in some races to get paid.

Some contingency pays top 3 if there are X amount of FINISHERS, not entrants. With the slim grids... it can be tough. I have been on the pre-grid for a Kawasaki Contingency race in the rain with 5 other racers and yelled out... "PLEASE EVERYONE FINISH.. I NEED TO GET PAID!"

To truely appreciate what we have going on at LRRS, you guys need to go race elsewhere and then you get a better appreciation of our local series.

On a final note, the contingencies that are important to me: DUNLOP I make a list of my races, entrants, finishers and my result, then check them off as I get certs in the mail. Just to be sure.

Cool thanks for the heads up. I just wasnt sure if there were "other" forms that need to be filled out other than the ones i do at tech with Sandy.

All depends on your sponsor, some may require you to submit other forms outside of what CCS/LRRS does?
