Damn thats a bummer. Bob was a great guy. I had some funny chats with him over the years, great personality.
RIP Bob, you will be missed.

Wow, such sad news. He was a great guy and will definitely be missed in the paddock. He helped guide me to Rookie of the Year in 2004. I cannot say enough about him. Godspeed Bob, rider #109, rest in peace. Please continue to watch over us and help keep us safe at the track.

We hit it off the first day he inspected my Hawk. It was his Hawk that he used to race. He recognized the exhaust bracket the he created. I am going to miss him.

Bob loved the double cheese burgers we made for him at TTD's. He was a good man.
Kudo's to the Facebook photo montage. Sto asked me to thank the person who put that together.
Putting his hands in the air, like he just doesn't care.

At this point still having no info indicates that maybe the family is keeping it private. I'm kinda perplexed at no further info.
I put that montage together. I like to shoot stuff in the paddock more than on the track because everybody else shoots bikes on the track. Every once in a while I might get that special shot, like the one I got of Bob on his scooter that I shot from the tree house.
I have a similar gallery of pictures for Francis Reed, who passed away back in 2003. Linky

Francis was also one of a kind. I'll never forget that guy, we spent a lot of time together.

Bob moved next door to me about a year ago and we hit it off right away. I still walk outside expecting a front porch or garage conversation on the finer points of motorcycle maintenance, who's driving too fast down our street, or why my little M900 is too much bike, etc.
His new passion was scooters. Zumas, specifically. He had a new basket case in his garage every week. It would be fixed and sold in a couple of days, every nut torqued to specs.
Bob will be sorely missed. I am priveleged to call him friend.
To date, there haven't been any services, but there may be some in the works. I will post here when I hear anything and those interested can email me for details.
Thank you all for the pics and sentiments. It's good to hear from others who's lives were touched when Bob crossed their path.

That is correct. He was in treatment, but his passing was sudden and unexpected. I think he didn't want people to worry, so he kept it pretty private. He was tired but in increasingly good spirits, and was out and about every day. I rarely left the house without shooting the breeze with him. He and my 16 year old nephew were pretty tight. They were starting an old Honda project bike for him. Bob made a big impression on him.
Would have liked to have known him at the track. He spoke very fondly of it and his friends up there. #109 is on a new circuit...
Mike A, I passed your message on to somebody who might have more info.
