    Re: bodywork

Theres a lot on the WERA boards.
It seems very hit or miss as far as fit and finish, but people seem to like the bodywork.

But like I say, thats all Ive read.

    Re: bodywork

both sets of hotbodies I've had fit like shit. Seemed like they weren't even molded for the bike. Haven't bought sharkskins but I hear they're good, for the price they better be. There are cheap bodywork places on the net, aurmor maybe? When you can get three or four sets for the price of one sharkskins it's worth it.

    Re: bodywork

We havent had a problem with fitting up hotbodies at the shop. Its all in how you start. One mistake people make is drilling holes where they suggest you drill. Most bodywork doesnt line up perfectly. You need to start at a central point and work your way around.

I have armour bodies on my r6. They arent perfect but they are good. Id recommend that over hotbodies. They survived a pretty nasty high side in decent shape. They are also sold through woodcraft which is another reason to get them

The only problem with Armour is that they don't have aplications for all bikes. Let me know what bike this is for. We're looking for a Armour bodies install demo bike.

sadly that's the main issue. I'm looking to get 02-06 honda rs250 bodywork to mount on a honda hawk (nt650).... armour doesn't make rs250 kit

Sharkskinz is better quality than Hotbodies, but costs more as a result.

Well, I should qualify that by saying I only had 2 sets and I might have lucked out.

Also, they did change their manufacturing technique a couple of times. They were SUPPOSED to get better after I bought them though. The bodywork on my f4i was put on in 2003 I think.

    Re: bodywork

Also, the shark tail in the podium pic is a sharkskinz tail from Kurtis Roberts' Erion cbr900rr F-extreme bike, not a hotbodies.

    Bottom line.

Sharkskinz - best of the best for big bucks
Armor bodies - almost as good for much less
Hotbodies - seem to vary but not as good as either above for about the same $$ as armor bodies.
