How about $700 to race 3 races.
Tires, Race Gas, entry fee's, food and getting to the track.
I refuse to use a credit card for racing too. Strip clubs maybe, but not racing!
Moto GP is the week before, then I have a mortgage payment due as well.
Sorry bro, the team must race without me. I think you'll all do fine.

I'm toying with the idea of bumping to expert. I'm not sure if I'm better off pushing for some championships where I can probably grab at least a second or third in a few, or if sponsors would be more interested seeing me bang up to expert.![]()

sponsors are interested in spotlight and eyeballs on their product and marketing.
results, especially at a club event, aren't going to add any value to a sponsors bottom line.
1st amatuer or last place expert won't make a difference unless you have a way to market their products effectively.
so you would recommend.....?Originally posted by WebCrush

i recommend going expert anyway. It'll make you faster chasing the faster riders and then you'll enjoy yourself more.
don't expect much sponsorship at the club level. club racing is about fun, pro racing is about $$
As for getting sponsors, well each company is different, but becoming a talking head for their product, coaching newbies and stressing how such and such product will help them do such and such, being part of promos, having your name and/or team name associated with such and such product and announced as such, etc---these are all good starts.
Thanks for the advice. I was leaning that way, just needed to hear it. I think July will be my last AM weekend.
