    ex500 tear down

i started tearing down the EX500 tonight. drained the oil, water, marked where stuff went. pulled the motor. i get it up onto my work bench and drop the oil pan. Expecting to see many transmission bits. Nothing. next thing i decided to pull off was the Stator cover. undo all the bolts & BINGO!. Half of the magnets on my new flywheel decided they didnt want to be apart of it anymore. Pulled the clutch cover off, nothin exciting. Im going to try to finish splitting the cases tommorow

Did it do any heavy damage? You might have gotten lucky on this deal. Definitely get the transmission undercut though. That's a seperate issue...
