Don't pay for gas for truck.
Teach me the way to do that with out getting arrested...
Put 93 octane pump gas in racebike.
Can't it won't run
Don't buy / drink beer at track.
Not an option...
Cuts a few off the top.

Didn't have time to sort out issue (got home from MotoGP Tuesday and was bushed). Coming up to track and dealing with quirky bike issues and shelling out 5 bills didn't seem like a fun idea. See ya in two weeks.

Yeah Kirk, that purple EX with no rear brake and most of the plastics missing looked like a steal to me, you should offer them $50 cash and see if they take it.![]()
KB said I should get out there on a 2fiddy, depending on whats up this winter, I'd like to make that a serious possibility.![]()

On a serious note, you should definitely consider racing. But not on an EX250. Not only are they not competitive in any class, they are a pain in the ass to work on. Be a cool kid and buy an EX, or be a butt pirate and ride a motard.
I'z be thinkin he may of meant Trackdog's RS250 that is mine on layaway.Originally posted by Honclfibr

Denise has an EX500 which she suggested I races the other day, but if anyone is iterested in buying from her she is going to up grade at the end of the season to a sexier bike.
I was doing some searching for the EX cause I think it will be the best way for me to go, I found a race ready ex with some extras (rims and tires) for $800.
If someone in Cheap Bastid has an EX for sale PM me let me know info on it.
I also have another contact that has a cbr600 race ready for sale as well.
I am not in a position to buy right now, I am looking and planning on getting all the shit together for next season. Probably start buying stuff after XMAS.
Can anyone point in the direction of modification that I can or can not do to a bike? Assuming that you can modify the CC of an engine, but things you can do to make it a little quicker and more throttle response. I know the EX is a little sluggish.

If you want to make it faster, tie it to a bigger bike.
Well I figured you wouldn't be able to modify the engine itself, but what about air intake and exhaust things like that?

No, and no. You can rejet them but it doesn't seem to make much difference.Originally posted by capt1014

Can change: rotors (must be stock diameter), pads, rear shock, fork internals, clipons, rearsets, sprockets, you can add a steering damper, and you can update 93- bikes to 94+ parts...that about it for the important stuff...
STINK!
so you can't put a bigger air filter on or an aftermaket exhaust?

No aftermarket exhaust, sorry!
The good news is that you can hear spectators wispering about how slow you are while you pass them tacked out in 6th on the straight.

hehehe, i love proddy twins
"can i change the wiring harness?" "nope"
"how bout the ignition, can i go total loss?" "nope"
"exhaust?" "nope"
"how bout the jetting?" "sure, but you'll probably loose power"
the list goes on & on... pretty much all you can do is put race glass on it & goObviously it's not THAT limiting, but it's pretty strict for Prodution Twins... that's one of the cool things about the class.... you're goin up against guys on almost the EXACT SAME bike as you

Don't worry, with each stock part you put back you'll get a little faster!![]()
