i've thrown my RR down the track twice ...it has required less that $200 to repair (man hours is a different story).

well the $10k+ yearly budget is something I do not have. Don't forget the initial cost of the clipons, rearsets and engine case covers.
I'm really thinking the EX might be the best option. As for Dan Murphy's EX, is it already race prepped? If so, I'll buy it tomorrow.

It's an ex penguin bike, I'm sure it's fully safety wired.Originally posted by SilverDragon

Buy it tomorrow, take the penguin school before the June race day, and join growing the EX mafia this year. Why wait? If you've budgeted 2-3k for a race bike you can buy the EX and race for the year for less than that...I've been spending less than $200 per weekend, and most of that is costs you'd spend anyway (food, gate fees) just to come up and spectate.
$10K was including a bike

yeah, as far as i know, it's all ready to go. Like i said though, the only reason why I didnt buy that one over the one I got was because it doesn't have a penske in the rear... pretty sure it's still stock.Originally posted by SilverDragon

if you would get your ass OFF the seat + hang your body over more along with twisting the throttle a bit more, you wouldn't low side that much!Originally posted by Dave B

So far no luck with this guy. He's just asking a bit too much and unwilling to budge on price so far. Looks like the EX is still in the crosshairs.

Also, Pete (or anybody) do you know Dan Murphy's handle on here? I've searched his name but only found posts about him. I'm interested in getting in touch with him.

Dan's EX was sold about 3 months ago.. Bah! Still looking! And it still could go either way, ex500 or RS125, depending on my luck finding bikes.
