NKP = No Kangaroo Please!
Gruppo Mastrotto's R&D dept. gives birth to a new leather, called NKP.
This acronym betrays its origin, infact the three letters mean "No Kangaroo Please".
Thanks to the new tannery technologies and to the accurate tests and surveys made by Mtech's R&D center, we've reached a new important goal.
From a high quality full grain cow leather, thanks to Gruppo Mastrotto's Chimical Division, we've reached a very high tear and abrasion resistance level, having at the same time a specific lightness never had before, and with such a low thickness, that allows a comfort unreachable before.
NKP solved the usual supplying, price and delivery problems of Kangaroo that today, Mtech lets calmly jump around, without thoughts, on Australian soil.
REFRACTION
MTECH has a fresh surprise for bikers in their 2004 collection: the special, innovative line dubbed MTECH REFRACTION, dedicated to black leather garments.
As the name itself indicates, REFRACTION repels part of the sun's rays, reducing the temperature of exposed leather.
Bikers who wear REFRACTION black leather garments during the summer will not suffer from the heat, and they will benefit during the winter from the maximum protection they offer from cold and inclement weather.
It is quite different to wear a white sweater in the summer as opposed to a black one, because the colours absorb the light in a different manner: a white surface absorbs only 10% of the light, while a black surface absorbs 90%.
The MTECH REFRACTION technology, developed by the Mastrotto R&D Centre, reflects part of the invisible solar rays, reducing the surface temperature of the leather exposed to the sun by ten degrees or more, with respect to normal black leather garments, when they reach a temperature of 40 degrees or more.
With leather treated by MTECH REFRACTION, sportswear will produce less heat, even during torrid summer weather: the heat will not melt the passion of the centaurs!
