Oxx, just show up with no belly pan in any races next year. i think they will understand the point eventually

That's because if you want to run Formula EX with the USCRA, you have to have a belly pan. Showing up with a turkey basting pan wired underneath will get you laughed right out of Tech. Arguing to Bob Coy that LRRS doesn't require them will get you laughed right out of the event.
Just so that there is no gray area, at their rules meeting this year they passed a rule requiring belly pans on EVERYTHING, even two strokes.

Actually, I got it 'cause it was a steal on eBay. I already have a perfectly servicable 9" x 5" Wallmart special $2 baking pan that made it through USCRA tech with flying colors. (I'll dig out my camera tonight and try to find the pics.)

I'm still waiting to hear if my GS will be allowed into Formula EX or not for this year. Worst case I suppose I could prep the TX750 and see how many people duck and cover as I kick it over...

FYI, I keep hearing Dave Evans say that he will NOT pass Wal-Mart pans this year.

Rules are supposed to be posted online by Karl real soon, still waiting to see if they have a cutoff year now that they're allowing the bigger wheels.
If you're talking loud, be aware that there is a noise limit at the track. You never see the meter at LRRS events, but they bring it out for vintage. You'll get a pass at the Vintage Celebration, since that is a designated "loud" event.

The TX would only be loud if it went off like a grenade as many on the list claim it will. I've got to look that bike over and see if it has the recalls/updates or not...
