The only 93 octane fuel i see on VP's site is U4e. This is a leaded fuel and more unhealthy than standard pump gas. This is supposed to be comprabable to the U4 fuel, so i'd expect the price to be in the same ballpark ($13+). So there is no health savings, and the cost increase is 600%? How will VP serve hundreds and hundreds of racers without having a line out to the tunnels?
Is there any benefit to this at all? Every angle I look at it is negative for the majority of racers. How can they not allow regular gas?
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
Well in the news rules posted, the listed the price of the gas ($3.25/gal) and said contigencies will be paid at the end of each weekend, at the track

I asked this before and Ill ask it again. What is contingency???
Price is acceptable.
Contingency for 1st through 6th with how many people required on the grid for what level of payouts.
How do they expect to accomodate all of the riders at LRRS? It was at least 45 minutes to get fuel before when just a few people were using it. Now it's going to be everyone in the garages and pits lined up at the back of a single truck while that guy talks about Texas?

money you get if you win (or place decently)
money can equal certificates to purchase from said organization, or just cold hard cash

I'd like to hear what happened with the Sunoco deal. I would have much rather have been required to buy gas from down the street where there's what... 10 pumps or so? Than deal w/ one VP "pump".
It seems as though Jerry's devotion to protect our health has come at a great cost to our convenience.
I try not to bitch about things up at loudon as I'm still kind of a rookie, but this seems like it's gonna be a fuckin madhouse.

The price difference is negligable(sp?) so thats a non issue. Is it in the contract that we won't be in line for more than an hour? The one time i was gonna try out U4 the line was so long i just said fuck it and went down the road for some pump gas. This is my only real concern with this new rule.
So Pete, have they addressed this issue or should i bring a lawn chair?
1. Do we have approx hours/days they will be open? CC payment alright?
2. Can we run pump gas for practice/Thursday/Friday? Is the VP fuels only for races?

Distribution has been my biggest concern from the get go. It will be difficult, but VP has been made aware that they have to service the market. I expect some problems at first, after all I doubt any one's first day at any new task went smooth. Pre-order your fuel, buy a drum, and get it on Thursday. You are allowed to run pump gas on Thursday and Friday, but......
YOU MUST COMPLETELY FLUSH OUT YOUR TANK AND FUEL SYSTEM BEFORE RACING (or practicing) ON SATURDAY
Even small amounts of pump gas will contaminate your tank and you will fail a fuel test. You need to empty and dry the inside of the tank, drain the carbs and run at least a few laps of practice before you will pass fuel testing. I hope that's clear enough.....
so we went from vp being unsafe for everyones health to vp is the awesomest fuel ever

Whats the odds on being able to leave the VP 93 In the tank Between Weekends?
How about you read the explanation before you post????? VP brand fuel was never a problem, it was the really nasty, high power output fuels from all the fuel companies. (VP, Nutec, Sunoco, Klotz, etc.)
VP has designed a fuel specifically to meet the criteria for the rules. MS93 is not yet on their web site because it's so new. We needed a fuel very similar to pump fuel in cost and performance. VP was willing to create one, and has C12 as the fuel for those that need a high octane rating. They are also willing to post a contingency program. So if you use the MS93, and consume the average of 5 gallons per weekend, you will spend $16.25 per weekend on fuel. If you win one contingency race you will be up $8.75 for the weekend. If you finish 2-6th you will spend only $6.25 for the week end. Sounds good to me.
Yeah, I picked up on that a little while ago when i was reading everything over again. As long as VP stays true to their word about contingency I'm sure that'll make people happy... and considering the huge number of people that will be bitching them out if they don't, I think they'll keep their word.
Think I'll wait & see how things go before making any negative comments about this.
