    Re: Slump busters

Chad has the most insightful post yet. If you have high expectations, then you need to be at the track for all available practice times. I also expected alot from myself. I was there every thursday and friday for years. I slowly but surely became faster than all my competitors. I noticed them start to practice more after the writing was on the wall, but it was too late!

At a race weekend, the amount of practice we get is a joke. It's nothing more than enough laps to make sure the bike is holding together. It's not really clean practice time.

I wish I could get up to practice, but I cant get the days off of work. How am I supposed to pick up a MotoGP ride if work wont give me days off! This is straight communism

I think the bosses would realize I wasnt actually sick, since they have access to where my race bike is stored.

    Re: Slump busters

Ok, well rather than bother post up a full race report, since i dont have all that much meaningful to report, I figure Ill just ammend this.
It all kind of worked out like I thought it would. You guys all helped me get more excited about the weekend, I think I was just in the midst of a bad couple days when I originally posted, and since racing was on my mind it just brought me down more. Anyway, the second I got up to the track on Friday I was instantly glad I didnt cancel my races and that I ended up going. Of course, the boys of the Alley (aka the land of the dick joke) always keep me laughing all weekend, so that really helps having fun up there. My races went well, I got a new rotor from Miles and didnt have any bike related problems (well, the lack of power but thats more of an across the board thing for my bike). I was riding relatively well, very slow in areas, but thats all me and not the bike so I can accept that. I had a decent weekend, took 2nd in PTwins for the 3rd time, kept up with some people in ULSB for a while, got destroyed in both LWSM and GTL but I tend to expect that. Also dropped my times every time out this weekend, and got myself back into the 27s, so about where I was before the crash.
So anyway, good weekend, glad I didnt let a couple bad days get me down and ruin my weekend.
As always, thanks to my Alley boys, the weekends wouldnt be 1/2 as fun with out you there.
And big thanks to Wookie, hes the greatest guy ever. We're gonna change the name from the Alley to Wookie and those other dipshits.

But seriously, a bunch of people came up to me and asked how I was doing and if I was glad I came up and all that, it really means a lot, so thanks to everyone

any day in "The Alley" is a good day in any alley. you couldn't have a beter group of mates to hang with racing or not.

P.S. someone else has this quoted "lack of self preservation is worth 10 hp"

Its ok, we found another pit bitch. Course, we just need to teach her the proper way to be a pit bitch, and we'll be set.

I dunno, Ox wasn't impressed with my hot shirt being baggy on me. Can you find hot pants tight enough to show off my fine physique?
