Is it possible to direct more airflow to the caliper to keep it cooler ?

Might be worth the extra $30 to get the additional setting then, since I would probably go for a model with the folding lever option. (and you can get shorties for the RCS as well)

if you found it with the reservoir for $350 then you found it as cheap as you're probably gonna find it cause that's about what you'll find it for without the reservoir.

From my understanding of it (someone correct me if I'm wrong), it would give better feel through lever travel, not lever pressure.
Looking for less lever travel & more pressure feedback.

The brembo mc that are on the older ducs are all I used and had no issues ever.. Performance Friction pads in the compound that you like, more grab or more consistent feel.

as long as it holds the fluid I can't see the reservoir making any difference. it just holds extra fluid so the name on it shouldn't matter. that looks like a good deal.

Considering the best price I can find on the all-plastic Brembo remote is $59.

I hope the deal is still in place if/when I decide to buy.

I'm probably in the minority but I hate them. Tried to bleed my 929 with them probably 3-5 times and they just suck, litererally. I couldn't get air to stop reentering the lines when they are supposed to be designed to stop air from coming back in. first time bleeding the 600 without speed bleeders after swapping the Brembo onto it and it was a breeze. all I did was squeeze the reservoir tube and squeeze the lever quickly in between squeezing the tube. got virtually all the air out of the lines without ever cracking a bleeder screw. once I did crack the bleeders it was just a couple times and done.

Pete, this is what i use for brake fluid. its good shit but pricey. It has a much higher boiling point then RBF600. I believe its catergorized as DOT 5.1

the Vesrah RJL's are great pads, but remember they heat cycle as well. How often are you replacing pads?

as far as the master, i have no complaints with my brembo 19x20. also the galfer superbike lines are pretty sweet as well.

David's dead-on. kinda. it has a higher wet boiling point that rbf600, but not a higher dry boiling point, so it depends on how religious you are about bleeding your system with new fluid.

dry boiling point: The dry boiling point (when the fluid is fresh and contains no water) is the temperature at which the fluid turns to vapor.

wet boiling point: The wet boiling point (measured when the brake fluid contains 3.7% water) is related to how easily the brake fluid will absorb water (or how hydroscopic the fluid is). The lower the wet boiling point, the more water the fluid will absorb.

as an aside (like this part of the thread wasn't already), racers should be changing their fluid regularly regardless - but then I'm a bit neurotic about brakes.

I know you're kidding and are tired of my question sand and shit, but I really don't have a clue about brake maintenance.

I was just asking an honest question, because I would have a hard time paying $64 for a liter of brake fluid.

BTW, thanks to everyone for talking me out of blowing money on parts I probably couldn't use 1/10000th of their awesomeness on.

the first one you can't use. DOT 5 is not compatible and can't be mixed with DOT3, 4, or 5.1. but those 3 can be mixed together.
