Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped out this past weekend
Also a big thanks to those who stopped by to say hello, it was nice to see everyone again
I was at the track by 5:30 friday afternoon and got somewhat unloaded and set-up. It was cool and wet at the time but the weatherman promissed a good weekend.. I figured i'd get my registrations and tech out of the way that night so i'd be sure to make the 8am practice, no problems there other than my prior screw up on the races i was going to enter
Had some good laughs,a few drinks, and some good burgers with the Collision Pros gang that evening. The cook was OK but not up to theothersean's standards... haha, just kidding Spence
Saturday morning, woke up to wet conditions, no rain was falling but it had rained overnight and was still pretty humid. I made the 8am practice on time and stayed out for the full session. Second practice was still a bit damp but the pace was much faster than the first and felt a bit more comfortable.
The only race i entered for Saturday was race #13 amature supersingles so i pretty much had all day to bullshit and do just about nothing
With all this free time, i found out a made a huge mistake on my race entry for Sunday. Looking at last years last race weekends lap times, it looked like MWGP would have been a good class to finnish midpack and get some points, what i didn't know was those lap times were in the rain ooops I had to change it and ended up entering Amature Thunderbike.
I got second place in race 13 and got some wood but there was only one other rider in that race. I was happy to knock 7 seconds off last years lap times in this race tho, not fast yet but it felt much better. 3 points added
Sunday, sun was out but it was a cold start!! 8am practice i made it out there on time and stayed out there most of the session. My hands were numb and cramped up from the cold so i came in a few minutes early. Second practice was much better and i stayed the full session.
Again my race was late in the day so there was plenty of time to bullshit and watch some more races. Also found out i was the only one to enter Thunderbike
So needless to say, i finnished race 11 and got 1st place and another peice of wood and another 5 points to add for the weekend.
Overall i'm pretty happy with everything this weekend, i got some points and improved my lap times. I know what i have to do to improve and will be working on that.
No problems or complaints with the bike as it ran perfect and felt like it handled pretty good as well.
Thanks again to everyone that showed up to watch and to the NESR team and crew, sure was a fun weekend
As always, big thanks to Bob M for the help and company..
See you'z the next weekend
