Once I get paid this week, it'll be time for tires, a battery, and hopefully a reservation at the Penguin school on the 16th!


I'm going to try to fab up some better sliders for the EX. They have some flimsy engine guards on it right now that could use a bit more strenth.

I got a smaller trailer than his. It's an old camping trailer with barn door style doors. It has lights inside and crank out windows on the side and top. I'm pretty positive I can toss the EX in there without an issue. I'll measure it out soon enough to find out. If not, it gets used as a shed!

the 16th of what?

June 16th is a full race day for us---the "classic" weekend is fri,sat,sun, w/a full day of practice thurday the 15th

maybe penguin has a school on wed the 14th?

+ Karaya 1 still has those race tires for the Ex for $120 set

those engine guards are actually pretty good if they're constructed the way i think they are... i'd almost rather have those than the sliders that are on my bike. A huge amount of the EX guys have the same setup you have or similar.

Booh. Looks like I won't be racing until July 28th. The 13-14 is 3 spots away from being full and I can't take both days off. Jeff at Penguin said that if there is a concellation I may be able to do a single day but I won't know until the 11th and it is unlikely.

That's ok, it gives me a little more time to buy raceboots, tires and get those emulators put in.

I think we're confusing thursday practice with Penguin school. Penguin is definitely NOT 150 a day. My guess is no thursday practice before the next event. I'm not sure though. I'll check it out.

Penguin practice is a different story. It's 75 bucks (or 70??) for 3-4 sessions in the afternoon.

EDIT: Sorry, my bad. It looks like penguin is tues/weds and promoter practice is thursday, That is the 150 for the day deal. Racing fri.

The weekend schedule is modified, so be sure to check to lrrsracing to find out what day you race!

Not sure about the races, but I can tell you that the cost of the armbands for that weekend "is what it is". Not sure if it is what it was, or if it will be what it wasn't, but I can say with absolute certainty that it won't be what it isn't.

Use the regular entry form to pre reg. Cost is the same as far as I know, but I'm thinking it must be more??? . If you have a qualifying session for your race, it's included in the price. You will be gridded according to fastest times (within your level obviously) during the 15 minute session.
