I'm going to use a bungee to keep them in place. If they're full, their own weight would keep them down fine I'm sure, not so much empty though

    Re: Track Trailer Build

Stop by this weekend at the track and we'll have a look at it.

Got a little bit done today. Finished up the front with a few coats of paint.

    Got the new decking down
    Track Trailer Build-imageuploadedbytapatalk1407794165-316039-jpg

Snagged a tool chest for the trailer and a set of dedicated motorcycle tools. I did the same for the Jeep. Nothing worse than spending an hour each side of your trip to try and get tools together and put away. Only half as expensive this time since my Honda only has metric fasteners.

    Re: Track Trailer Build

Looks great. I put a rolling tool box in my trailer too, just for motorcycle tools. I don't know if you plan on sleeping in your trailer, I use mine as a camper up at the track. Now would be a great time to put some rigid foam insulation in your trailer. I haven't done this in mine yet, and it's tough to keep it comfortable in there.

I just roll mine on and off. I bought some Pitbull parts and fabricated a trailer restraint for the roller:

if you did another sheet for the gas and propane tank, would you not need to strap them down?

That's a nice setup, I'm not sure if I can make the TRS work with my shelving plans but now you have me thinking...

Potentially, but items like this in open space really need a bit of tension on them. I'm going to set it up really simple where I can bungee it very quickly and easily.

Working "inside" today. Picked up a sheet of vinyl floor covering as there wasn't any plain black and white tile for a checkered flag pattern. This is fine with me, went down quick as hell. Trimmed the floor shape:
    Track Trailer Build-imageuploadedbytapatalk1407857677-240758-jpg

    Then glued it down:

Not perfect, but it should be fairly durable.

Not that one, get a gas MIG, flux core is dirty shit and should really only be used in extremely high wind environments where shielding gas isn't effective. It's easy, I'll teach ya.

I did, I had weak signal when I tried to load the pictures, said fuck it, then forgot to revisit later. I'll keep it in mind to have a look soon.

ALL of the money, of course!

Getting pretty close to finished here. Rebuilt the hubs and got new tires. I have paint drying on Etrack that I won't install until morning, still need to pick up some bolts for the Condor wheel chock. I'm nixing the shelving idea in the front, just not enough space with the gynormous tool chest. I'll pick up some kind of cargo net where I can stack stuff and keep it restrained in transit. I ended up needing to stagger the motorcycles. The TRS is situated as far left and rear as it could go, and the Condor is as far right and forward. There's room for the bikes but there was going to be interference with the handlebars so I went with the staggered configuration.

    Re: Track Trailer Build

Pulled the trailer from my shop in Brockton to home in Quincy last night. Wanted to put a few miles on the new hubs and have a chance to retorque lugs before running ~100 miles up to Loudon. Before this thing vibrated so badly I felt it in my truck chassis. Both tires were trashed and one of the hubs was had bad bearings. Replaced everything and this thing is butter smooth. About an hour worth or wrapping up this morning then more pics!

Ok, pics. I have some more Etrack to put down and need to finalize where gear will go but it's pretty close. Rethinking electrical, either way it's a later on project. Here's the front

Left side wall, going to add another piece of Etrack midway up.

I'll be at the track all weekend, trailer will be parked in front of 11N if anyone wants to come by and check it out.
